Hi everyone. Are you ready for a wild ride? LOL Don't fall asleep, it's gonna be a long trip. :-)
This is our house, back when we were first buying it. I think this is our 4th year there, but it might be our 3rd. But I'm pretty sure it's 4. Anyway, it's changed a tiny bit since then. We took out the ivy and also those little square hedges in front. I don't have a very current photo of the front, so this will have to do.

And now moving on into the inside of the house...
When our house was built, the stairs were in the center. Two owners ago, they decided they wanted a giant living room instead of a small living room and 2 bedrooms downstairs. So, they simply moved the stairs all the way to the left side of the house (left side, if you were standing at the street looking toward the house). So, this photo is taken from the current staircase. It makes for a nice big long living room, but it's hella hard to arrange furniture.
Also, please pretend that there are 3 wreaths hanging on that far wall isntead of just 2. lol And also pretend that the pile of junk isn't right there in the middle too. :-)

And just some more pics of the living room, from different angles.
Oh, and this one features the console table that Keith made. :-)

And here's the coffee table he made. Oh, and Cami, looking possessed.

Please note that we must have about a million ghosts in our house. Every damn picture has orbs! Eeek! lol

Another crazy glowing eye Cami pic.

And for good measure, here she is, enjoying some early morning Little House on the Prairie!

DSC03410 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
Basically, right here is where the stairs USED to be in this house.

DSC03412 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
And here's the view from the couch, toward the current staircase.

DSC03413 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
This is my favorite little corner of the house! That "art" on the wall only cost me a dollar at an auction. I know you're jealous. LOL

DSC03414 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
Ok, moving on...
This is the view of the kitchen from behind the couch.

DSC03417 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
And this is the view from behind the big chair in the living room.

DSC03419 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
This is the view of the dining room, from near the couch. Yes, I still have my kitchen tree up. Shut up! lol

DSC03418 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
Oh, and the snowmen stay out all winter. The tree might be past it's due date, but the snowmen aren't just about Christmas!
This is the view from the kitchen sink area.

And the view into the kitchen, from the dining room.

Alright, now moving on to the downstairs bathroom.

Mini Leg Lamp, represent! lol

Movin' on up...

Ok, so since they relocated the stairs in the house, that means that when you go upstairs, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. This first room is Keith's "project room" now. His current project is sewing some sort of tactical duffle bags or some such.

DSC03430 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
After going through the project room, you come to the hallway. This is the view form the hallway into the upstairs bathroom.
Yay for kitty litter! Sorry. lol

And the wet shower curtain.

DSC03425 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
And the countertop.

DSC03426 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
And now back out into the hallway, you'll find a door. Behind that door is now a linen closet. This used to be the top of the stairs.

DSC03429 by Tisha_McFluffy, on Flickr
And now on to the master bedroom. The plan was that I was going to paint this room the week after Christmas. The plan was also to buy new blinds (FINALLY) and hang window treatments that week as well. As you can see, I was sick instead, and didn't get any of that done. So, the giant blue comforter of doom still looms over our heads (literally!)

And here are the paint swatches that have been hanging there for about 2 months now. I don't know what I was thinking with those 3 yellows. They are pretty much exactly the current combination (that the old owners did) which I am TOTALLY sick of. I believe we will go with the "Almond Oil" color with white trim, probably this summer.

And now for our horribly unorganized closets!
Keith's:

And I am lucky enough to have full-size access to some attic space in our bedroom. It is the PERFECT place to store the Christmas decorations.

And that's it! Finally! Sheesh! That took over 20 minutes! LOL

And I actually thought Keith's closet looked pretty organized, until I saw the floor. But it's not that bad! But yours, oh my! haha jk.
I love your mb's little nook area too. that's awesome!

What a great house!! I love how open and bright it is.
..and we still have our little tree up in the man cave, so don't worry! lol
Very nice! The outside is adorable, and the kitchen looks so crisp and clean! I also love your comforter (the one on your bed - haha!) in your bedroom!
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I wish I had a more current pic of the outside. I just love the house though. I know we'll probably be moving in a few years, and I will miss it SO much.
Thank you! I actually want to paint the cabinets an even brighter white (it's just a few shades brighter... the same white as the china cabinet.) Maybe someday. LOL I can't wait until Keith builds my display case and the new dining room table. I'll have to do another DIGS then. lol
Thank you. I strive to have an inviting home, so I am glad to hear that most people take it that way. The sewing machine is one of my favorite things. My mom had her granny's. The one we have, we just bought at a junk store a few years ago. I love our little nook too. I can't wait to get that room repainted and everything!
Thank you very much! I just straightened it up last night. I should have taken some before and after photos. lol It was like a tornado had been through it before I cleaned. lol
Thanks. LOL Some days I wish we still had that 4th bedroom, but most days I am glad they moved that staircase!
I really need to take that tree down before Keith's birthday at least. Maybe I'll get it done this weekend. The sad part is, it would take all of 5 minutes to do. Hell, I could even just carry the whole decorated thing upstairs and put it in the attic, but I am too lazy. lmao
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I registered for that bedding, but didn't get it. I got the OTHER bedding I registered for instead (which, over the months, I didn't even really like that much anymore). So, shhhh... don't tell, but we are taking the other stuff back. lol This stuff was on clearance a week or two after the wedding, so I just had to get it.
Thank you so very much!

Tisha,
I'm in love with your house. It's precious. Is it cool if me and DH move in?
Also-I can't imagine moving stairs. That must of been a helluva job.
Hee! Thanks.
I also can't even imagine what a nightmare it must have been to move those stairs. I mean, I'm sure it took more than a day, so the upstairs had to have been inaccessible for a while. That would just suck.

Thank you so much! I can't wait to get the bedroom finished. I'd like to put a small bookcase up there and maybe a nice comfy chair over where the TV is (I don't think I got a picture of that wall for some reason).

I forgot to say that I love the exterior as well, cheesy but it made me smile when I saw the pic!
