I'm in the beginning stages of planning a friend's baby shower. She's having a little girl and would like the shower to be chic/girly. Does anyone have any tips? pics? blogs that I can check out for ideas?
I figured I would ask here since a lot of you have had showers or given one. Thanks for your help!
Re: Baby shower help.
you have come to the right place!!
ok, so...have you thought of a theme? what type of year will it be? tell me about your friend and what she likes. how many people? what's your budget?
i love this. this is way better then my stupid work project that i'm working on
also, what are the nursery colors or what does the bedding look like?
i have a SUPER cute theme in mind that i've been wanting to do for someone, so if i think it will work, i'll pass it along
haha carly, the Bun in the Oven was one of the ideas i had in mind!
i SOOOO want to do that!
I really need to see the bedding to get a sense of the mother's style
Wow! You all are prepared! I was just asked to co-host last night so these are all of the things going through my head. I'm writing ideas down to bounce off the other host. I think we'll be having it at one of our homes or her sisters house. I'm guessing it will be around 30-40 people, but I don't have exact numbers yet. The shower will be either the first or second week of April. I remember seeing a blog with paper pom poms and either hydrangeas or peonies everywhere.
Oh....I'm in love with that Bird's Nest theme!!! Oh so cute!!! That would really be something she'd love.
the Poms are a pain the make, but are super cute. here's a hint: do not wait until the last minute or else you will make about 5 intead of the 20 you planned to make
i did these for Bennett's 1st bday and they're super cute. use fishing line or dental floss to hang so u don't see the string
so if u want to go with the birds nest theme here are some ideas:
deviled eggs (duh)
these are cute for favors or jsut for table decorations. i'm sure you can find the nests on the internet somewhere. and thoes are just jordan almond. the only thing is....this works bc the almonds are blue....and obviously you'd have pink. i think it'd still be cute.
a lot of the searches i've found are for boy showers....so you might have a hard time finding pink ideas. but i really think the idea is cute! here is a link for pink invites.
