Simple Pleasures
I got new socks last night and realized that one of my simple pleasures is wearing new socks for the first time. I just love it!
Amongst my other faves:
new sheets on the bed
foofy coffee when you're having a slow or rough start to the day
last minute impromptu gatherings with friends
Coming home to find my husband busy making dinner in the kitchen (this happens once in a blue moon)
Writing with a really nice pen

Finding awesome sales when you didn't know it was happening

Getting an unexpected card in the mail (I wish people mailed me things more often...I guess I need to do the same!)
Wearing new clothes (I sometimes "save" my new clothes for awhile before wearing them and then I feel all special and pretty when I do finally wear them).
When my cat comes running up to me when I get home from work (I swear she thinks she is a puppy sometimes).
Espresso coffees.
When H actually does something I ask him to (this morning he remembered to fold the laundry, yay!).
When my H takes care of me. I've been feeling kinda down/tired the past few weeks (some from work, some from the horrible root canal I recently had) and he is so sweet, kind, & patient about everything while I recover.
