What color blue for bedroom? (PIP)
I want to paint my bedroom blue. I can't decide on a shade at all
(still considering a dusty navy all the way to a pale, pale gray-blue).
Below is the other duvet cover that we use as well. I do know that I'd
like to use green accents (seen in the pottery and soon to come
shams). And I'm curious if you think we should keep the chair rail and wall below white.
The changes that will be made to this room is the Xmas decor will be
removed, the wood panels are going to be painted distressed white
(unless you have a better color suggestion) and the small table in the
bottom right is replaced with a white fireplace.

I
have looked through the D&R paint bio and like some of the blues, but I'm
just having such a hard time narrowing down the category of blue I want
(dark, mid, light).

DO NOT CHANGE IT! haha, i think your bedroom looks HOT just the way it is!
BUT....if you must...i'd go with a "slatey" blue.... something lighter, a tint of grey
OH MY GOODNESS....I love the blue bedding with flowers....where did you get it?
Sorry, I have no suggestions for you as I love it the way it is....at first I thought that was a pic of your bedding out of a catalog and you were showing us the bedding and wanting to know suggestions for the wall color :-p I love it!
It is Augustine bedding from Crate and Barrel. They don't carry it anymore, but you might be able to find it on Ebay or somewhere via Google.
i love it how it is!
i also have a white fireplace in my bedroom, and LOVE it!
EA--are you guys still trying to sell your home? Are you painting because your realtor thinks its what more buyers would want? If that's the case, then I agree with the other ladies, that a paler, more slatey blue would probably appeal to the most number of prospective buyers. If you are just painting because you want a change, then I think you could do it whichever one you naturally gravitate towards. The good thing is that its just paint, so if you don't love it, you can always try again!
And I'll add that I LOVE it as is right now too.
It is no longer on the market. The house we were hoping to buy ended up getting rented out and is no longer available. So since we don't need to move, we are just going to stay put for a while longer. But that means that we could paint since we don't have showings anymore!
I'm actually more on the fence now than I was when I posted. I think I might try to paint the wooden panels and see if I like the room better after that.
