Do you have a certain stall you prefer?

Am I the only one who gets annoyed when I walk into the bathroom at work and someone is in "my" stall?  lol

We have 3 regular stalls and 1 handicapped stall.  I always use the 3rd stall (the one closest to the handicapped one).  The first one always feels like the toilet is loose or something (like, it's coming away from the wall) and the door doesn't close properly either.  The 2nd one is usually just disgusting and when you flush, the water goes all crazy and sprays out the sides!  And I really don't have any qualms against using the handicapped stall, except that the toilet is 100 feet tall and my feet dangle!  lol

So the 3rd one is just about perfect.  No weird water sprays, it's still securly attached to the wall, and the door closes all the way.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I am the only one who has figured this out, but it totally bugs me.  LMAO  I've actually turned around and walked out and went up to the 4th floor instead before, just to NOT have to use one of the other stalls.  lol

  • I also am picky about what stalls I prefer.  However if I have to go and they are taken I will just take one of the others.

  • haha, I've actually thought about posting this ? before!

I always use the first stall, whenever/wherever I use a public bathroom.  I always hesistate of which to use if someone else is in it.

I am exactly the same...and, yes, I do get upset when someone is in "my stall" in the bathroom.  Haha!

Thankfully I work from home 2 - 3 days per week, so I don't have to deal with it on a daily basis.

Hahaha!  Me too!  As far as I'm concerned, the master bathroom is mine, and I totally get annoyed when Chris uses it instead of the hall bath, which I for some reason avoid at all costs.

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one!

I think it's because we all know that boys are gross!  LOL

I am with you girls on this one! I use the upstairs (main) bathroom and get super irritated when DH uses MY bathroom, especially to go #2. He has his own nasty bathroom in the basement that I refuse to use, it is scary down there. He likes to use my bathroom when I am gone and then taunt me that he used it. JERK!

We have a single person bathroom closest to my desk so no stall choices. When I was on seconds we always warned eachother when someone "blew up" the bathroom. If I have to go and someone is in that one I go to the 2nd floor bathroom that no one uses and always use the middle stall.

  • This is freaky.  I just came back from the bathroom where I was annoyed because someone was in my stall.

Like Hanna, I always use the first stall in public bathrooms.  I read once that they were cleaner because fewer people use them.

I heard about that too! Hence the reason I always use the first stall.

  • Handicap stall, all the way.  Now that I'm saying this, I'm sure the next time I use one, I'll hear a wheelchair coming in the bathroom.

I get rather clastrophobic in a small stall, and I prefer to hang my bag up without it slapping me in the face... and being able to to turn around in the stall with my winter puffy coat scrapping against all the [in my mind] contaminated walls.

  • Yes. But my stall preference changes depending on the bathroom. Like at certain restaurants I'll use a certain stall. At work I use a certain stall. I'm pretty weird about my bathroom preferences. I also don't like to wash my hands when someone else is there because I want to avoid seeing people who just heard me pee, so I'll wait for them to leave and then come out of the stall!

  • I read the same thing about the bathroom...the wierd thing for me is my classroom is closest to the nurse's office and "faculty" bathroom and the bulk of the time I use the student one first stall anyhow...maybe I'm afraid of the germs...

Seriously, this exactly. Obviously, if I see someone who needs it coming, I won't run in there. But it's much bigger, and the walls aren't all up in my face.

I totally get annoyed when someone else is in there. A-holes.
