r/p - How would you clean this?

Not sure what to do with this...

So I've slowly been getting the baby stuff out and ready, trying to figure out where I'll put things, etc.    Took out the pnp today to see where that's going to go.   The matress seems to have some stains on it that I didn't remember were there when I put it away, but that's the nature of baby stains I guess.

It's the nature's purest pnp, so it's not a plasticy type matress, it's a board on the bottom and cloth on the top, so I can't put it in the washer.   Not sure how to go about it.

Spot clean it best I can and just put the sheets over it or what??

    Sounds like a plan.

Really, the stain is probably a few years old... I'm sure any ick factor is long gone. Sounds like it's more of a cosmetic issue than a sanitary issue.

  • DS1 once peed on the PNP mattress.  I took it outside (luckily it was warmer out), scrubbed it with soap and then hosed it off as best as I could.  I never got 100% of the soap out of the padding, but I thought a tiny bit of soap left in there would be better than urine.
  • I don't have kids but no one will see it so don't stress about it, thats life.  If you really don't like seeing it could you paint the board and cover it up? If you can't clean it just cover it and forget about it.
