Omg.... I may not get out of bed all day!

I am in love with our new Tempurpedic mattress!  We've needed one for a long time and just broke down and bought it so we can use our old one in the guest room for my mom when it comes baby time.  Let me tell you...I don't know how I lasted this long without having this mattress!!! We've only had it for one night, but both of us woke up with NO back pain!  My hips still hurt me a little bit overnight, but that is baby related so I can't really count that.  Also, we upgraded to a King and It's insane how much room we have here!

If any of you are in the market for a new mattress, really, check out tempurpedic... I am SO glad we did!  Also, not sure if they do this everywhere, but we are able to get our sales tax refunded on it if we have a note from the doc saying we need a new mattress!

It's 11 here and I am STILL in bed, hehe...  I don't wanna get up!

  • Sounds like one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books - I'm not going to get up today!  Congratulations!  We need one too, but that won't happen till we save enough monies!
  • Funny DH has talked about getting a tempurpedic mattress but I have resisted because I had tried a memory foam one (I think it was tempurpedic) but didnt care for the super firm feel. What kind of mattress had you previously gravitated to? (ie soft or firmer) We have a serta with a pillowtop now which was great initially but there are huge sag areas 4 years after it was bought. If we get a good tax return I might give the green light if it's something that really sounds good. Are there stores you know of where you can test it?

Thanks for any info!! Glad you're enjoying your new purchase!

We like a really soft bed.  Before with the coil mattress I used to layer a heavy feather blanket underneath the sheet along with a pillow topper just to give some extra oomph.  Lol.  I agree, some of the tempurpedics are really firm, but the one we bought has the thickest amount of their special squishy foam ( I forget what it's called) and is actually quite soft!  I'm seriously like the princess and the pea and am very picky about being comfortable in bed!  It was more expensive than the others bc it has more of that special foam ( I think the model was called Cloud Luxe or something like that), but we thought it was worth it.  What I like is that all of the mattresses support your body correctly, it doesn't matter how soft or firm it is, so all you really need to do is pick what feels good.  Also, tempurpedic will replace the mattress if it develps a sag area of 3/4" or more.  :)   We just went to a mattress store that carried Tempurpedics and laid on a few.  We had heard a lot of good recommendations of them but had never tried them out before...we ended up leaving the store 20 mins later having bought a new mattress!  It's VERY pricey compared to a regular coil mattress (that's why I put off trying it out or buying a new mattress for 8 months)...but if it continues to feel this good, we will never go back.  Go try em out and let me know what you think!

  • That sounds amazingly comfy....I hope you did stay in bed all day sometimes those days are totally necessary and amazing!! :)
  • We don't have a tempurpedic but MIL did splurge on a super nice king mattress for us when we bought our house -- sometimes we think it might have been a mistake because it is sooooooooo hard to get up for work!
  • Ahhh sounds like heaven!  Hopefully the mattress continues to please!

I hate how mattresses feel good when you first get them but after a week or so you don't like it...
