arrival of new teeth - is this odd?

Abby has her top four and bottom tooth and clearly has been teething for several weeks.  Fists in the mouth, drooling, etc.  I finally got in there (she was upside down and laughing) and I noticed her molar? came in - two or three teeth OVER from the bottom two that have come in?  Is this normal? I was expecting her bottom third and fourth not molars!  Indifferent  My kids' doomed if she gets my teeth.  I have such a small mouth that I had four adult teeth removed, braces twice, etc, etc....

Re: arrival of new teeth - is this odd?

  • Yup it's normal. The same thing happened to Eli and my friend, who is a dental hygienist, said after the front 4 the rest (minus the canines and 2nd molars, which usually come after 18 mo) come in randomly around between a year and 18 months or so. Eli got the front 2 top and bottom, then the first molars, then the second 2 on the top and bottom. He's working on the canines now. Fun stuff!!
