Benjamin is currently in his crib.
For the first time! He was dead asleep in my arms in the rocking chair and now he is wide awake looking all around the room, kicking his legs, making little sounds. I'm obsessively watching him on the video monitor. And I've already cried twice at the prospect of putting him in there tonight to sleep. He looks so little in it. He was so cozy in his napper on the pack n play.

Re: Benjamin is currently in his crib.
Such a big step!We put Nolan in his just to see him in it and you are right, they look so small in those big spaces.
Nolan hasn't slept in his crib yet. He HATES being on his back. For awhile we were sleeping him in the boppy but my parents bought us a rock n' play this past weekend and he LOVES it! I'll keep him in that for awhile I think.
Good luck tonight!
My kids were in their cribs from day one, but I completely understand how small they look in there. If it seems to big for him, you can always try putting him in the crib the short way, and up closer to one of the sides. That helps to "close" the space on him, and will be a bit more like he's used to in the smaller PNP. As he grows, slowly change the angle that you lay him down, and eventually you'll have him laying down the "correct" way.
I totally would have put him in his crib from day one if our rooms were on the same floor! In the long run, now that I look back it probably didn't really matter, but it made me nervous for him to be so little and so far from us!
Anyway, he did ok. He slept almost the full number of hours he always sleeps, but seemed more fussy. I don't know if that is because of the new surroundings or the crazy gassiness he's been having. But either way, we got decent sleep! Hopefully it'll just get better!!
