My son has always been such a good eater. I mean, will eat anything and eats 24-7. Lately, its been soooo tough. He doesn't want to eat half the time or he's super picky all of a sudden. One day he'll scarf pickles, the next won't touch them.
Do they go through phases? It's so hard too because he is with so many different people during the week. My mom, my SIL, and daycare. So I know what he gets fed changes often.
Re: Eating habits of kids
Yup, that's normal. They term it 'food jag'. But 'normal' doesn't mean it's not annoying.
This is one of the most annoying "normal" traits out there. Drives me crazy.
Henry gained 8 pounds in Marcus first year!!
Same here! Loves something one day, hates it the next. Very frustrating! Gets a little easier as they get more vocal and can ask for certain things, except when they are always the same things or things you don't have.
I was wondering why Manny had gained weight at his last vet appt. Didn't even think of all of the food shrapnel he eats!

Luke's 14 months, and he gets a daily vitamin with flouride since we don't have it in our water. That should cover it.
It is definitely becoming one of the more frustrating aspects, but it feels good to know that its not just my kid and that I will just have to use more patience with him
As I typed that last night, DH was working hard to get him to eat anything. So we gave him minestrone soup and he was refusing. Once he finally got a bean in his mouth he started full on shoveling the rest in. Stubborn kid!
