It's goofy, but I'm excited.

And it's soap-related, so if that bores you, stop here.

Eric & I have become friends with a local brewer/business owner, who's the founder & presiden of the NJ Beer Co.  Basically, he's where E wants to be in a couple years.  They have amazing beer, and it's a micro/craft brewery and local.  Like 15 minutes from our house local.

So Matt, the guy with whom we've become friends, got all excited about our idea, which was to use his beer in our beer soap, rather than the Sam Adams we'd been using.  It keeps us local (and improves our greenness - less fuel used in getting the beer to us), allows us to cross-market, and supprorts local business in both directions.

We got our first batch of his stout last night (my fave of his beers anyway) and he also gave us the barley he used and hops, and we made our first batch of NJ Beer Co./Reef Botanicals beer soap.  Smells freakin' awesome, and the whole concept is just awesome to me.

And he'll be selling it in his brewery alongside his t-shirts & baseball caps, during the tastings he holds 3x/week!  So it's also our first wholesale customer.

I blogged it if this wasn't long enough for you and you actually want more detail (haha):  http://reefbotanicals.blogspot.com/2011/01/collaboration.html
