Wanna see my birthday present?
My birthday isn't until next Sunday, but Drew can't keep a secret to save his life. He went and bought my present this afternoon (kudos to him for doing some advanced shopping) and he just left from being home for dinner. After we ate, he sat down on the couch and asked me when I wanted my present. I said my birthday and he said that he wanted to give it to me earlier. So, I said that he could give it to me Thursday since he'll have the day off then. He still wasn't happy with that and literally started begging me for permission to give it to me now. I finally gave in and this is what he got me:
It's an external flash and the off-camera remote cord!!! I have been lusting after a Speedlight for awhile now. And the even better news. The local camera store here is offering a class on how to use it at the end of March. Mastering the art of flash is just as difficult as mastering the art of good photography.
