Re: OK nestie weekend in review

  • Friday night, we went to the Thunder game. Double OT was fun for me, but not for JJ - he fell asleep during 4th quarter and slept through the first and half of the second OT before he woke up screaming. We spent the last three minutes of OT [which was like, 10 minutes of real time] in the hallway calming him down...that was a mess. But, we got the win! After that, I hit skkybar and Coyote Ugly with my sister and got just a liiiiiiiittle drunk. OK, maybe not a little, but whatever.

Saturday, we drove home and spent the day with my parents and JJ. I don't think we did anything but lounged around, watched a couple of movies and grilled. It was a really nice day for that.

Sunday, my parents went to the game while I hung out around town. Spent the first half of the game at BDubbs [that was fun], then went and saw a friend in Norman. Parents took us to Ted's before they went home, and I spent the night with my sis. We went to Wal-Mart [that was insane and a bad idea], then she had this movie shoot to do...so I went to her place and wound up falling asleep on her couch waiting for her to get back. I drove back to Stillwater this morning. :)

  • Friday night I did absolutly nothing. I feel asleep on my couch at 8:30-can we say loser!

Saturday C and I went to lunch, then I went to Stillwater, got my acrylics taken off and my natural nails shallaced (I think I am in LOVE with the schallacing); then did some browsing/shopping. Got back home and C and I went to dinner at a mexican place in Cushing.

Sunday, we went to Chruch, I took a nap and then we went to my parents for the evening.

Not too exciting but it was nice.

  • We had a great weekend! I spent way too much money but I justify it since everything was on sale. Left early from work and went down to McKinney. Did get stuck in some traffic in Lewisville but that is expected. Saturday we wet to the Frisco Mall. Since M was fantastic in the car driving down there we rewarded her with a trip to Build a Bear. She got the cutest little rabbit with a dress and sparkly shoes. We ate at Papadeaux's for lunch. It was wonderful as always. Saturday night was low-key. We went to SIL's new store (she works at Whole Foods) and ate there. Sunday we sept in and then got on the road about noon. Made it back home and started laundry.

  • Friday H took off work and we spent the morning/afternoon with B.  We met my mom around 2pm and she took him home with her because we went to the Thunder game with JLimberg, her H, and another couple.  It was a blast!  We went for drinks afterwards at Michael Murphy's dueling piano bar. So. Fun.

Saturday H and I slept in.  We woke up and went to Penn Square mall and ate lunch at Pepperoni Grill (one of my favs).  We looked at some furniture at Dillard's, got our jewelry cleaned at BC Clark, and then headed over to Mathis Bros. to look at what they had.  Both places had some couches I really liked, but I think we're going to wait a little longer and explore a couple more furniture stores.  I was pleased that we are going to be able to come well under budget if we go with the living room furniture we looked at Saturday.  After Mathis Bros we went to Christie's to get some new  "supplies", and then picked up B.  Took B to OKC for dinner at Okura.

Sunday we were going to head to church but B's cough was really bad.  He had no fever that morning, but at around 2pm he had a 102 fever.  Gave him some motrin.  By 7:15 his fever was up to 104.4, so I stuck him in a warm bath, gave him some Tylenol, and we called our doctor.  She had us take him to Urgent care.  He had chest xrays (clear) and was given a flu test (negative).  We went to the pharmacy to fill our prescriptions and ended up getting home at around 11pm. I had two dr. peppers, a bag of m&ms, two slices of pizza, and two breadsticks because I was so stressed out.

  • Friday night: Did nothing of importance. Drank wine and watched episodes of 30 Rock on Netflix.

Saturday: had to go to Cushing for an honor band and had a blast!

Saturday evening: drank more wine, watched the Poltergeist. H was out for a fraternity thing.

Sunday: got groceries, a few things at HD, and played on the internet/watched tv, and hung the curtains in my office at home.

  • Boymom - I heart pepperoni grill, too!
  • Ugh - I've had the flu since Wednesday and am still feeling icky. I spent the weekend on the couch trying to watch movies and tv, but ended up sleeping tons. Could not even read because my head hurt too much. On the bright side, the flu is an effective way to drop a few pounds. blech

  • Friday night: We went on a double date. We ate at Texas Roadhouse, went to Orange Leaf for dessert, and then hung out at our house afterwards.

Saturday: Went to Waffle House for breakfast (DH is obsessed with WH). Went to OU to pick up a textbook. DH played football with his friends so I spent about 6 hours doing homework. I took a short break within that 6 hours and we took the dogs for a walk since it was so nice outside.

Sunday: Didn't get ready in time for church (Oops...) Did more homework from about 1:30 to 9. Took a short break within that time to eat dinner. Then we went to Crest to pick up a few things.

Do you have a dish that you ALWAYS get?  I alternate between the chicken avocado pasta salad and the chicken pear salad with prosciutto and nuts...OMG...so good.

When we went Saturday I actually ventured out of my usual and got the stuffed portabello mushroom cap--they filled it with chicken, pecans, cream cheese, gorgonzola and surrounded it in pesto...wow.

  • Friday night: H and I went to a concert at the Cain's.

Saturday: Got an oil change for my car.  Took the big dog to the kennel for an overnight get away.  Went shopping for a new pair of boots.  Got massages.  Went to dinner with IL's for my bday at McGill's.  Then H & I went to the casino for a bit.

Sunday: Went shopping.  Got a new washer and dryer!  H and I went to dinner last night.

  • DH worked all weekend and I was sick, so not much, but:

Friday: I had a faculty meeting at 3 and drinks with coworkers at 4:30

Saturday: I went to Crescent Market and Forward Foods for some treats

Sunday: Watched about 1000 episodes of Bones on Netflix.

  • Friday: I fed all the cattle then spent the rest of the day with my mom, aunt, cousin, and Mema running around Owasso.

Saturday: I made H get off the couch and hang out with me - I couldn't stand to be inside when it was so nice outside. We went to lunch, went and bought him some work jeans, and then went to the antique store/flea market - HIS IDEA (!) Surprise - and looked around. I think he's finally caught the baby fevah... he picked up a few different small baby things, completely on his own, and bought them at the flea market. If you know my H, you know this is completely and totally out of character for him. I can't help but be excited over this new development.

Sunday: I went to church with a friend, then hit up the grocery store (mistake), and then just layed around the house.

  • *Friday- Went to the Thunder game with Boymom... did a little chair dancing in our seats to the awesome game DJ.  Loves it.  Then went to the piano bar, randomly got AMAZING seats right up front at 10pm (unheard of) and belted my little heart out for a few hours.  SO FUN.

*Saturday- Went to a morning Zumba class at the Y, then came home and chilled at the house while DH went on a matinee movie date with his old roommate who he hasn't seen in forever.  DH made steaks, mashed potatoes, and green beans for dinner and I polished off a bottle of my fav wine... just cause.  :)

*Sunday- Went to the early service at church, started some laundry, went to an afternoon Zumba class at the Y... 1 1/2 hour class- holy.sh!t... and came home to finish laundry.  We did Qdoba for dinner because I burned away all of my energy at the gym.  haha

I always always get the calazone. I have never had anything else from there!  And that bread? Oh, it is tasty too!

Poor baby B! He just can't catch a break :-( You've GOT to download the podcast for church yesterday. It was amazing.

  • Friday- I lounged at home and cleaned up a few things.

Saturday- I finished cleaning and waited for H to get home. That night we went to a high school basketball game to watch a family friend play.

Sunday - We slept in and then went furniture shopping. We found a few things but nothing that we needed to buy right then. Sunday night we went to friend's house for dinner.

  • Friday - I was off work all day, so I got my hair did. I now have full-on bangs. I dig them. I got a last minute invite to the Thunder game, so did that Friday night. Had lots of beer, and the second OT is a little fuzzy. I remember us winning, though. Went to my fave little restaurant and had yummy pizza after.

Saturday - Slept in and then went to work. Blah day.

Sunday - Yummy brunch and more Thunder. It was a good game, we came so close. I wanted to punch Mike Miller in the face, and I thought it was adorable when KD was talking trash.

  • Friday--ran errands after work, then picked up dinner, ate, and fell asleep early.

Saturday--DH worked all day, so I went to my sister's in Stillwater.  We went browsing (looking at baby stuff) then had lunch.  She had a fundraiser dodgeball tournament that afternoon, so I watched her play.  Then I finally got to try out Orange Leaf--yum!  Came home and had dinner and a movie with DH.

Sunday--slept in, did laundry, napped, spent some quality time with DH.
  • Friday - This was my travel day home. I drove to the beach on the way to the airport. When I got home, H made me dinner. He also bought me a cute penguin.

Saturday - POAS again. Figured I was pregnant on the trip after some of the symptoms came, but resisted the urge to by tests when I was out of town. That line was really there. Ran some errands to return Christmas gifts. Bought a rug for the living room. Rented a movie.

Sunday - Hund around the house. Cleaned. Sister came over. Went to the gorcery store. We are boring.

  • Friday- watched our DVRed shows from the week. We recently discovered the Big Bang Theory. It's hilarious!

Saturday- did 5 bazillion loads of laundry, vacuumed, dusted and got rid of cobwebs, cleaned the kitchen. DH and I took the dogs for a nice long walk around Lake Hefner in the afternoon. We all had a blast!

Sunday- lazy day. Lots of time on the internet, a little more cleaning, ate DH's yummy homemade pizza.

  • Friday: Went home from work sick, spent the entire day rolling around on the couch reading a book.

Saturday: Breakfast with DH, went to lunch with a friend, headed to the barn, went riding. Went home, read a book.

Sunday: Slept in. Did nothing of consequence. Prayed that Tuesday would be a snow day (and still praying). Praying that maybe Wednesday would be a snow day too... oh that would be heavenly!
