How was your weekend? What was the best part of it?

What are you looking forward to this week?

Re: Monday morning poll

  • How was your weekend? I had a great weekend.  I got a massage on Saturday that was fantastic (if anyone wants the name of a great massage therapist in Watertown, let me know; I really like this woman).  She told me I'm all kinds of tight all over my body so "unfortunately" I'll have to go back soon Wink

Spent some time with my family while DH was still away--dinner on Saturday followed by a lunch yesterday to kick off the Chinese New Year celebrations.  Then last night I played in a tournament and won, woohoo!

What was the best part of it?  DH coming home last night.

What are you looking forward to this week?  More Chinese New Year stuff this coming weekend, finishing my first real knitting project.

  • Our weekend was alright. LO has been getting progressively more sick from his milk allergy this week, but his doctor switched his formula again, and he's doing well. Also, I found out TWO of my cousins are pregnant!

This week I'm looking forward to LO's next doctor's appointment so we can continue on the path to figuring out what's wrong.

This week I'm NOT looking forward to the 20+ inches of snow we're getting on Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • How was your weekend? Good!

What was the best part of it? Having my parents here and the nice dinner out we had on Saturday night.

What are you looking forward to this week? DH coming home on Friday!
(Even if it is for only 24 hours).

  • How was your weekend? Good! Too short as always!

What was the best part of it? Spending some time with my friends on Friday and then spending the whole day with H yesterday.

What are you looking forward to this week? My last cake class on Tuesday and getting my hair done on Wednesday... depending on the weather though.

Definitely not looking forward to the crapload of snow we're getting this week... boo.

    Anniversary

  • How was your weekend? Good!

What was the best part of it? Went to Redbones on Saturday and stuffed my face with some delicious BBQ.  I also managed to put up a new chandelier in our house which made me feel like Bob Vila ;)

What are you looking forward to this week? pub trivia on Tuesday night, working from home in my PJ's on Wednesday (the only good thing about the snow!)

  • I've taken to not watching the weather reports anymore.  Probably not a great idea, but denial makes me happier Stick out tongue

At least DH is home now to help with the shoveling.  Guess I'll plan on working from home again at least once this week!

    Mmm Redbones.

I took DH there when we were dating and it was the first time he had fried okra. Indifferent

How in the name of sam hill does one live to be 22 years old without having eaten fried okra, I said.

With that said, Redbones fried okra sucks.

  • I'm 29 years old and have never had friend okra  Embarrassed To be honest I don't even know what it is, lol

    This!

SCM, I want to see your chandelier!

Punky, said like a true Southerner.  I never had any kind of okra until I was in my mid or late 20s.  When we ordered it, the waitress warned us about the texture--she was completely right about the mushy/sticky/stringy-ness of it.  I'm a pretty adventurous eater, but I did not enjoy it.

  • Never even had okra period. But I know what it is thanks to the Food Network. Wink

  • I had a wonderful weekend! Dinner at the Oak Room was phenomenal! Maybe it's because I work at the hotel but they were so attentive and they definitely "took care of us." Wink My Kobe steak was like buttah! Sooo delicious. As well as the Boston creme pie.

The best part was just spending the whole weekend with my family and DH's family too.

This week I'm looking forward to a dinner at Turner Fisheries on Thursday and then DH and I are leaving for Vegas on Sunday!!!

  • Laina, so glad you enjoyed the Oak Room.  I'll have to add it to the list of restaurants to try.  Turner Fisheries is on that list too, actually.  I really need to eat in Boston proper more.

  •  And by friend okra, I meant fried okra ;)  Glad I'm not the only one who is unfamiliar it.

Rock n Voll, DH has a picture on his phone of the new chandelier I put up - I'll post as soon as he replies to my request for it!

  • How was your weekend? It was pretty good. Relatively low key which was nice.

What was the best part of it? BM dressing shopping and lunch with friends.

What are you looking forward to this week? Potentially having a (self imposed if the institute doesn't close) snow day, lunch with my bff Sunday, then SuperBowl party with HS friends Sunday night.

What was the best part of it? went to a concert Saturday night...most of the weekend was just spent relaxing, which was nice

What are you looking forward to this week? hopefully a snow day from grad school Wednesday night and our Super Bowl party on Sunday (even though the Pats aren't in it)

  • How was your weekend? What was the best part of it? Our weekend was awesome! DH and I drove down to NY to surprise my MIL for her birthday Saturday. The best part was her face when she looked up from her computer and saw us standing in the living room :) And then I took her for haircuts and pedicures and Indian food- so fun! What are you looking forward to this week?Having Thursday off I guess...unfortunately its only because I have to work all weekend. I am NOT looking forward to more snow, however. I am SO over this weather.

  • Great Weekend.

Brunch at L'espalier was the highlight... well that and doing some fun shopping at Ted Baker... I love that store!

This week I'm mostly looking forward to it being over. I'm hosting a conference on Friday and Saturday, and everything is coming crashing down! Sunday, will involve a good bottle of wine and roasting a chicken in my new all clad roasting pan! : ) Can't wait.

  • How was your weekend? What was the best part of it?  It was good.  We had dinner with friends Saturday night.  Sunday I was so so so sick I barely got off the couch until about 5pm.

What are you looking forward to this week?  I have a very busy week this week so mostly I am looking forward to it being over.
