UGH i hate my town.
Issue #1: Wednesday night to Thursday morning, we had a big snow storm. We we only supposed to get 4-6 inches but we ended up getting 12-14 instead (i swear, weather forecasting is the only job where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still get a paycheck). We have a road directly across from our driveway, and the town plows decided to plow DIRECTLY into our driveway. So my neighbor had to help me get the 4-5 foot hill at the end of my driveway cleared that morning so i could get out.
Issue #2: 3:50 am Today....Noisy truck sounds and beeping woke me and ziggy up. There was a loader on the same street corner across from our house clearing the corner of excess snow (okay, a good thing to do, but COME on before 6am!!!). Snow clearing does not have to follow the noise ordinance. Also, he put ALL of that snow into our front yard, so we cant see if any cars are coming up the street when we pull out now.
F-ing town. I have to call them today to complain. This is crazy.

Re: Monday Moans
Besides complaining about the snow and how we are getting more on tuesday I really don't have anything to complain about. I really don't want to complain about it because it's not like things will change or that I'm the only one inconvenienced by it. Soon enough everyone will complain that it's too hot. lol
I know i'm not looking forward to driving into work and working the next three days during the storm.
Oh my gosh, Kim, I would be raging! Lol
I am mad about this upcoming storm. I know that does me no good, but I am soooo over winter. The weather lady on TV was all, "I don't want to scare anyone, but this will be the worst snow the Quad Cities has seen in years." Great. Thank you. We are not worried at all about the snow now! I guess it's supposed to be 3 inches today. Then, it's going to unleash its furry tomorrow with another 18 inches and a lot of wind. Yay Blizzards! Plus, the ice from 2 weeks ago is STILL here. Everything just keeps piling on top of it.
Ughhh. Why won't it end?
Another snow complaint here! Not looking forward to the 2 day storm we're supposed to get starting tomorrow. SOOOOOOOO over the winter.
Other than that, I don't have much to moan about. It's Monday and I'd rather not be at work.
After being really really sick last wek and having to call out all three nights from work, tonight is my first night back... boo. Not only that, but I have to work three in a row; tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday nights which is super exhausting. Ontop of all that, I'm summoned for jury duty on Thursday at 9 AM, so I'll have to go straight from working all night Wednesday. Welcome back to reality, Caroline.
I am praying, praying, praying that when I call on Wednesday evening they tell me I have not been selected as a juror!
Issue 1: I only have three hours at work #1 this week. ugh.
Issue 2: I have no clue WTF is up with taxes. I've never done them before, my dad has just had me give him my W2's and he's taken them to his tax guy, I was always a student, or unmarried...but now trying to figure them out makes my head hurt....
Issue 3: I've been waking up at 9am or so....I got up at 6 this morning. Enough said.
My only moan is super selfish. DH just left to fly to RI for his Aunt's funeral and I would like him back. I'm feeling kind of sick and like having him here with me. Plus I hate sleeping alone now. I hope he doesn't get stuck up in New England because of the storm. He's supposed to fly back Wednesday evening, so the worst will be past here, but I don't know about there.
I'm hoping for an ice-day tomorrow from school....but idk....
my read shelf:
Another complaint about the coming storms...blah. We got up to 45 yesterday and actually saw the sun. It was soooo nice! I'd like some more of that to help with melting all of the snow that is still around! It would also be nice to work a whole week. I know..weird. However, I have a lot to teach before state testing and doing that in a crunch always stinks.
* My dog is sick and I just want her home and feeling better. I never thought that I'd say that I'd rather have her begging for food and barking at passerbys than anything else.
