Uhm, good morning?

Poor raynes must be super sick. =(

How was your weekend? What's in store for you today?

We put up 4 Billy bookcases into our living room on Saturday, and I think I pulled a butt muscle doing it. Attractive, I know!

Also, it's my husband's birthday and I still don't have a present for him. I'm a terrible person. TERRIBLE.

Re: Uhm, good morning?

  • Awe poor raynes, being sick sucks.

My weekend was alright. I got sick Saturday night and spent most of the evening over the toilet. I only had four pieces of toast yesterday because I was still quite nauseas and had a pounding headache. I am home sick today, just giving myself some time to recover.

Hope your butt muscle recovers quickly kaesha.

  • My weekend was good. I spent most of it with a pregnant friend. She is 7.5 months pregnant and just moved into a new house. She has to officially be out of her house by today and a friend of hers threw her a baby shower at the new place yesterday. I helped her out over the weekend cleaning and organizing her new place so that it would not be a disaster for the shower. It was a lot of fun.

Today...Monday. Our weather forecast for the next several days is interesting. We're supposed to start getting freezing rain and snow tonight and that will continue through Wednesday. Depending on which forecast you listen to, we're expected to get anywhere from 0.5" - 4" of ice and 10" - 20" of snow. I'm not looking forward to this. The National Weather Service is calling the storm "dangerous, multifaceted and potentially life-threatening." FWIW my area gets snow and ice, but those amounts are very atypical. I'm not looking forward to this week at all.

  • Good morning, ladies.

We spend a good day with FIL yesterday.  He's recovering well from the mini strokes a few weeks ago.

Snow today, and very cold tomorrow.  I just want to stay home.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • Good morning!  I love the Billy bookcases and have several.

We are supposed to get more weather tonight/tomorrow.  I hope it stays light.  My boss is driving me bsc this morning.  He has been in my office three times this morning to ask me about the same thing.  He needs to go away and let people do their jobs.

  • Morning.  It's before noon, so I can still say morning.

Yesterday was awful.  I woke up at 5:30am feeling nauseous, and it was pretty well all down hill from there.  I spent all day either in bed, on the couch or at the toilet.  Today I feel a lot better, but still only about 70%.

Turns out that when Derek was sick early last week it wasn't food poisoning at all.  What we thought was Ryley reacting to the stronger chemo was really C Diff, which then Derek (and Tim, and Shannon, and Hayley, and their nanny) got, which I now have.  Wicked.

So, I'm home today, and will hopefully be back at work tomorrow.  Oh, and our microwave bit the bullet yesterday.  Sad face.

  • Raynes - Hope you feel better soon!

We had a low key weekend, which was much needed. DH is finally seeing my vision for the backyard landscaping I want to do this summer. He even went and cut down/tore out one of the invasive plants without my asking!

I cleaned, and cleaned and cleaned. It felt like the house hadn't been touched in a while. I also splurged and bought FLOR tiles to make a rug for my kitchen, since DH splashes water like a little kid in there and my bamboo floor doesn't like it.

  • Weekend wasn't so great. I had to work Saturday and Sunday and miss out on the rare warm weather that came our way :(  Also found out DH's hours might be getting cut right as we're trying to buy a house and need all the extra income we can get.

Today I'm off and I'm going to make it a good day. I'm heading to the farmer's market to buy some goodies and then donating blood because of the huge shortage in our area. Then I've got dinner plans with some girlfriends and a movie date to see Burlesque with my sister :)

  • Morning! The weekend was nice; we got power back at around 4:30ish or so, but we had some trouble getting the heat back online (something happened with the boilers while the power was out). The HVAC guys were quick to respond, though, and by Saturday night we had plenty of heat (more than we had before--it's hot in our apartment!). We spent Saturday cleaning out the fridge, de-cluttering the place, vacuuming and re-stocking the fridge.

Sunday was a lazy day--lots of reading for me and a great run at the gym.

  • Poor Raynes. Being sick sucks this time of year.

I worked all weekend and it made for a very long one at that.

I'm off to the dentist for the first time in about a year. I broke one of my teeth and have to get it fixed. But I'm in full on panic mode because I hate dentists.

  • Good morning. My weekend was good, Friday it was almost 70F, so I went for a really nice walk and spent some time cleaning up our back yard. Saturday I got my hair done and went shopping with my mom. Sunday I stayed in my pj's all day!

We're having nasty weather here today too. It started with freezing rain this morning but quickly turned to snow. We're supposed to get 3-7 inches today. It's currently 12F with a windchill of -2F. The high for tomorrow is -2F the low is -18F with windchills of -30F and below. Brrrr!!!

  • Oh Raynes feel better, and Keasha I hope your butt feels better soon.  Big Smile

My weekend was fun.  My BFF unexpectedly stopped by for a few hours Friday night, so we just hung out and talked.  Saturday I did laundry all day and cleaned.  Sunday, we went to church and then to a friends daughters birthday party.  It was fun to see all the kiddo's, and honestly my boys were the best behaved.

On the weather discussion. We are due to get the storm starting tomorrow afternoon into most of the day Wednesday. They are calling for 12-18" of snow.

  • Hi all. Our day is almost over, thankfully.  Just no motivation today at all.  We had a good weekend though.  Spent Saturday wandering around Wimbledon area, trying to figure out if we'd like to live there (potentially yes), then Sunday met up with some friends at a local pub for Sunday roast (yum!) and then had a skype book club meeting.  We also managed to finally get our Israel and Jordan pictures organized and uploaded for our families.  Productive weekend!

raynes - hope you feel better soon.

kaesha - good luck finding a present for DH!  You still have a (little) bit of time.

  • Pretty good 'weekend.'  The kiddos were pretty good and liked the activities that I did.  I was actually happy to go to work DH has not been working most of the month due because he got hurt at work.  He had his surgery Tuesday and I have had to cart him around and take care of him.  Sometimes you can really spend to much time with your other. Two more shifts the it is my weekend.

  • This weekend was okay.  I finished my long work streak on Saturday, went to the gym and went to chuch.  DH and I finally got caught up on the shows on our DVR.

Yesterday I hit up the treadmill at the gym for a 9 mile run but only managed 7.  I went out and bought a new comforter for our bed and I'm going out in a bit to buy some more decorating touches.  I don't think we will be moving for another year or so, so I want to make this place pretty.  ILs had us over for dinner, so that was nice to not have to make anything.

Today I'm cleaning around the house, went to the gym and now I think I'm getting a migraine but I'm determined to go out and buy my stuff.

  • Good morning ladies. I had a nice weekend. I went shopping for maternity clothes on Friday, probably spent a little too much, but I figure I may use it again someday. Saturday I stayed in and did nothing. It was nice to get some needed rest. Sunday, we went out to lunch with some friends who were here from OOT. After that we stayed home and got all caught up on the dvr.

I had a pretty busy morning at work, but it's calmed down some. I don't have much planned for today, just the usual at work and then home.

  • Weekend started alright and ended poorly. Friday I headed to my aunt's for a weekend with all of my crazy aunts and some of their friends. Saturday morning I woke up with a headache that quickly turned migraine. Thankfully the ride home was relaxing and the one dose of Excedrin I'm allotted worked great. About an hour after I got home, though, DH fell off the ladder while trying to clean off the roof to prepare for this next storm. How he didn't kill himself, I'll never know. He has a huge egg on the side of his face, with a few smaller ones around his eye and cheek. He also has some nice bruising on one of his legs from what appears to be the rungs of the ladder.

Yesterday I woke up feeling lousy, so I ended up in bed until almost 2, ate some more, then went back to bed for most of the day.

Today my headache is back with a vengeance, so I'm hoping I can stay relaxed enough to let it go away on its own. DH is gone bowling tonight, so I think I'll feed the dogs early and head to bed.

  • Good afternoon, sorry I'm late to posting, it was a crazy morning.

I woke up this morning to a sick little boy, complete with fever, and  body aches. Gibson caught this at school last week and got over it in a few days now Izaac has it and the poor little guy hasn't left my side all day.

This has to have been one of the weirdest weekends I've ever had. It started off my a pipe falling off my furnace. I went to put it back on and ended up putting my finger right through it because of the rust. So after a bit of a run-around my the leasing office, I finally had a maintenance guy come and fix it. I had to shut my furnace off for almost 2 hours in -26c. Not a good time. Then for some reason he decided to shut my hot water off without telling me, luckily I know how to work that and got it back on the next morning.

Today he came back to fix a leaky faucet and take of a sticky globe in my hall so I could change the light bulb. Well he ended up breaking the globe and there was glass everywhere. But now it's all fixed up and I shouldn't need any more maintenance *knock on wood*.

Sorry to go on about this, it just seems so strange to me that anytime Russ leaves for work $hit hits the fan and I'm stuck dealing with it all by myself.
