Sorry to keep you all waiting. Getting adjusted has taken some time but I think we have it, for now at least! Thankfully we came home Tuesday before Mother Nature crapped a foot and half of snow on us. Now without further ado, I present Adelyn!
About an hour after delivery:

Five days old:

And for those interested in her arrival:
I went to my 39 week appt on 1/17 where I was told I was 4cm and that I would most likely deliver within the next 48 hours. Well that did not happen. Early Saturday morning (1/22) I started having contractions but was able to sleep through them. I woke up around 8 and told Barry, who immediately went into panic mode and started cleaning. By around 10 or so they seemed to slow down. We decided to go out to lunch. At Panera I started having contractions again, timed them and were still very inconsistent. By 5pm they picked back up intensity and the pain was much different than before. They were still pretty irregular. By 7pm, I was having trouble making up my mind what to do during contractions. I could not decide if I wanted to walk, sit or go to the bathroom. At this point I called the doctor who said to come in.
We checked in at 830 and was at 8cm. Our plan was to have an intervention free birth. I did need to have a round of antibiotics for the Group B Strep and was able to walk around once that was administered. Around 11pm my water broke and this is where I started to hit my wall. All I wanted to do was lean over a counter and rest. I knew at this point I was close to delivery but still did not know how much energy I had left in me. By 1130pm I was ready to push. This was the most uncomfortable part since the nurse was stretching me during each contraction. When the OB came in I knew that the end was close. It took everything I had to bear down and push. I could not get myself in a comfortable position to bear down. Thankfully after only 5 sets of pushes, Adelyn made her arrival shortly after midnight. I was able to have the med-free birth I wanted and still in disbelief that I was able to do it.
