So the move this weekend went pretty well. We had a lot of help, and it only took 2 trips with the truck to move everything from the apartment to the house.
The amount of stuff we were able to fit in a 2 room apartment surprised me. We have almost everything put away, with exception to kitchen things. The kitchen probably wont be done for a few more weeks

And of COURSE Comcast had an issue with installing the cable and internet. Why wouldn't they? The guy who came out to install the stuff was more concerned with the fact that my BIL didn't answer the door right away, then with checking the street to see if we even had a comcast connection. We had to call and reschedule and after a lot of complaining we don't have to pay the installation fee. Oh and FYI- they only come out after 5 for emergency reasons only....to which I replied "If I don't get to see my hott piece of Aaron Rodgers slaughter the Steelers on Sunday someone will get shanked, and then there WILL be an emergency."
So they're coming out tonight
Hopefully we don't have any more problems. Not having the internet always blows, and I miss all the stuff on TN that happened over the weekend.

Oh, I feel your pain. They're an absolute nightmare, and we have no alternative for cable. When we moved last month, they came out and "installed" our cable for $100. But then our On Demand didn't work. This went on for weeks - they even came out twice to "fix" it, and re-sent the signal probably 30 times. Nada. Finally, my husband lit into them, and they swore they'd send a "more experienced" technician out to fix the problem the very next day. So he worked from home that day to wait, and they called him an hour before they were supposed to show up - turns out, they had never connected whatever needed to be connected internally on the system (or something) - oops! But it finally worked. Idiots.
But hey, they gave us 20 whole dollars off our bill. So generous.
If you want to talk about how incompetant they are, call my mom and she will talk for HOURS. They are terrible.
lol. The big discussion last night was "Comcast customer service-Worst job EVER"
I keep trying to talk DH into switching to Verizon Fios, but he wont budge. Not sure why, but I'm tempted to change it over myself.
I feel like they're all sucky in different ways. I think we can get Fios eventually in our place, but we're locked in to our stupid Comcrap contract for a few more months. Unless we wanted to procreate just to give them our firstborn. Jerks.
