WFD?

My husband is making us chicken and shrimp gumbo.  We've never made it so hopefully it turns out wonderful!  How about the rest of you?  What is on your menu tonight?

Re: WFD?

  • I don't really know yet.  I am meeting co-workers in the lobby of the hotel at 6 to find out where we are going.  I really don't care what we end up eating, but I don't want to have to walk far!!!  I seem to be the only one in our group affected by the cold.

  • Mikes having grilled chicken spinach salad with cucs, tomatoes and carrots.  I am cleansing (yes, I know.. judge away, I'm still going it Stick out tongue ) so I won't require a meal.

Without laughing at my lack of knowledge please share what this is.  I think I might know what it is, but I am not completely sure.

  • We're having chili.  It's yukky and cold outside, and it's looking like we're going to be stuck in the house for another few days, so we thought something warm that re-heats well seemed like the way to go.

I'm using my modified version of my mom's old recipe...it's a family favorite.

  • My stomach hasn't been nice to me today, so I'm taking it easy (kinda). Baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn.
  • We are having roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, peas, and homemade rolls.  Yummy

I'm doing the Master Cleanse or "lemonade diet". Basically for 10 to 14 days you drink around 75 ounces a day of a liquid mixture of water, organic lemons juiced, cayenne pepper and organic grade b maple syrup. It's a detox. I've been awful to my body since the honeymoon back in the beginning of October so I need to get rid of the junk.
  • Pasta Primavera...it's a Kraft Foods recipe, and hopefully it turns out as good as it sounds...

I am still scared to try this, I don't know if I have the will power. I should just give it a shot.

I don't know what we are eating, didn't get anything out so I am guessing we will be ordering out.

Funny, I thought of you when I was purchasing everything, wondered if you ever tried it. I am actually looking forward to it this time, just because I know how great I felt when I finished last year. It definitely takes total commitment though.
  • I've got a bad cold so we had spaghetti and meatballs, since I had leftover meatballs from my friend's daughter's birthday party
"I said what I meant and I meant what I said, an elephant's faithful 100%" Dr. Seuss, Horton Hatches The Egg. My Ovulation Chart Ttc buddies with LexiMS!
  • I made vegetarian lasagna with ceasar salad

  • I made taco soup tonight.  It was on the menu for tomorrow night, but after running errands out in the freezing cold tonight I decided I didn't want to wait.  We'll probably have it tomorrow too.  It's my favorite cold weather food!

  • We had a major cooking session.  I shredded about 3lbs of marinated and baked chicken, and cooked 3 onions and 3 peppers (salt, pepper, and sugar) for chicken bombs.  Soooo yummy.

And we found a deal at the grocery store for 6lbs of bone in beef.  So I made the chicken bombs while Ross cut up and browned the beef.  Stew!  It better be good, because there'll be a damned lot of it.
