Re: Book Challenge Check In

  • I've been too busy being unemployed to read :O( (that sounds even lamer put onto "paper".)

    Same as before.

  • I am reading Room as suggested by a nestie or two.  Started it last night, won't be surprised if I stay up to finish it tonight.

  • I haven't done so well as  far as points, I'm now reading the Lovely Bones...it is so good so far
"I said what I meant and I meant what I said, an elephant's faithful 100%" Dr. Seuss, Horton Hatches The Egg. My Ovulation Chart Ttc buddies with LexiMS!
  • Crap, I can't remember what all the points values were.  Can someone post a link?

I just finished a murder mystery called "Trial By Fire", and a book by my "comfort author", Lavyrle Spencer, called "Small Town Girl."  I'm now about halfway through a book called "In Dahlia's Wake" that is incredibly moving...I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good dramatic story.  It's about a family who loses their 7-year-old daughter in a freak accident and how they deal with the loss.  As it turns out, even when the little girl was alive, their life wasn't as perfect as it seemed, and her death puts them in a place where they're forced to deal with it.  It's been one of the best I've read in a while.

Ha, yeah I haven't been keeping track of the points either. I'm really focused on my 50 books for 2011 though.

I just finished Always a baker, never a bride

and now I'm on to Hot Tea

  • I have been on a reading spree lately.   I have read  Can you keep a secret by Sophia Kinsella(5 whatever I want to read), Fancy Pants (5 whatever I want to read), Ain't she sweet (5 whatever I want to read), and What I did for love(15 book about marriage) all by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.  So I think my points are now 45.
