Just incase our power goes out with the storm we are supposed to get what kind of foods do you recommend stocking up on that don't have to be cooked - but can be an actual meal? Not just snacks.
TIA
ETA OH CRAP!!!!! What about all my frozen milk for B?! If the power goes out long enough that could be an issue - I can put it outside I guess but I would worry about it - more than i would our food.
Re: Food Help
Anything you don't have to heat up, really. The cold stuff can be left outside in a cooler right now. We are going to see temps above freezing all week, so I assume you won't either.
We would probably just do peanut butter, bananas, oranges, cheese and crackers, carrots, etc. Think school lunch type food. Cold cereal and salads could work, too.

Do you have a grill? Ours has a burner and can be used just like inside. (just make sure you have gas!) Granted we didn't lose power a couple of weeks ago, but had we we would have been grilling and heating up soup that way.
Make sure you have a cooler empty in case you have to move things outside. If its below freezing I'd pack it around snow and think it would be ok.
Hmm, I don't know about ACTUAL meals, but I'd keep things around for cereal, peanut butter/jelly sandwiches... Really though with cold temps just keep any cold stuff outside in a cooler. I'd think the milk for B would be fine that way.
I guess I should start thinking about this as the storm is supposed to hit us sometime Wednesday...
Can you bury it in the snow? We've done that before.
And like others have said, lunch meat and sandwiches. PB &J too- hehe no pun intended...
Do you have a gas or electric stove?
Really make sure you have enough water and batteries for all your flashlights and charge your cellphones and kindle.
If you have a gas grill make sure you can get to it and that should love any problems. If you have a deep freezer, don't open it, the food should keep for days.
