How are your shoes organized?

My closet is a gaint mess and organizing my shoes is the first step. I'd love to see how you store your shoes!

We have those white pre-fab organizer units that hold 8 pairs of shoes each (the cubbyholes).

I have a very small closet so the majority of my clothes are folded. Dress clothes are hung up and then at one end I have a thing that hangs and has three shelves for sweaters and pajama pants and then spots for 12 pairs of shoes. I have all my dress shoes in there and then my boots, tennis shoes, and house slippers on the floor. I don't have many shoes (compared to some people) but this works for me.

2 of these on my closet floor. Mine don't hang on the wall and I thought they were cheaper so they may have an alternative option in the stores

Since I spend a lot of money on shoes, I spend to keep them organized and in good condition. This company also sells spacers which I use for the taller heels and ankle boots. The high boots are in a separate winter closet. Check retail me not and other sites for coupons before buying.

I have a shoe cubby that I put it on top of a shelving unit and store my smaller shoes in each cubby. On the shelves, I have all of my boots stored in plastic shoe boxes. Both can be bought at The container Store.

I actually keep the boxes for my shoes on shelves in my closet. All of my shoes are in their box with the name/picture facing out so I can see which shoe is in each box. For the ones without boxes I have a separate spot in my closet for them on a shelf.

For the shoes I wear on a regular basis they are either next to the front door or on the floor of my closet.

I have individual clear plastic shoe drawer/boxs from the Container Store. Most of my shoes will fit in in the box, but a few don't and those sit on top of the boxes. They lock into each other to stack so they don't fall over and I love that their drawers and not lidded boxes which makes it easy if the ones that I need are on the bottom.
