What's Your Weather Like?

I saw this on another board and thought it was interesting... what's it like right now where you are?

Re: What's Your Weather Like?

  • Snowing.... again.  I think that is the only weather pattern we've had since the beginning of December.  We've only had like 4 days of sun since then and it is seriously affecting people's moods - including mine.  Blech.  I have a serious case of the grumpies!
  • It's been freezing rain off and on most of the day today.  It's supposed to get worse after midnight, then turn into a crap ton of snow tomorrow.  Depending on which weather forecast you listen to, we're supposed to get somewhere between 4 and 10 inches.  We usually don't get much snow, so 10 inches would be pretty devastating. :(

The good news is that DH's store closed today and my office let us out at noon. :)  DH already heard that his office is closed for tomorrow and my boss said our office would "likely" be closed tomorrow too, so I have high hopes for another snow day!

  • It got up to 60 this weekend and was very sunny, but today it was about 50 and raining :/

  • We had a snowstorm last week that knocked out our power for three days.  By then end, it was 48 degrees inside the house!  And now more snow and ice are predicted.
  • We always get one big February storm here so I am hoping the one coming tonight is it and we can be done!

It's been cooooold here. We've been in single digits. Last week it was -8 with a -15 windchill. We are supposed to be getting 1-3 inches of snow today and then another 9-15 inches by tomorrow evening.

Of course I have class tomorrow night...my 2nd one of the semester but I may have to skip!

  • Here is So FL our high is 76 degrees. For the next few days is supposed to be around 78-80 degrees.

  • I woke up to a few inches of snow and messy roads. It was just starting to rain when I was walking in to work...I can't imagine how much snow it would take to make our office close!

  • Cold and cloudy right now, but it's supposed to start snowing this afternoon and then A LOT tomorrow.  Snow days are "at our discretion" in my office so maybe snow day tomorrow? I hope, I hope.

  • Foggy. But it's always foggy here. We're hoping for a sun, and high 60's this weekend. Good for a nice bike ride!
  • It's not doing anything right now, but we woke up to a layer of black ice on the roads and sidewalks.  It's supposed to sleet/rain over night and tomorrow.

DH has been away since last Sunday - missed the 10" we got last week and is missing this....I can't wait for him to get home.

  • It's 46 degrees and foggy right now.  The fog should clear up by noon and it'll be in the mid 60's today.  It's been really pretty here... our end of winter bush is about to bloom (can't remember the name of it but it smells amazing and is supposed to be a symbol of the end of winter) and our fruit trees are showing signs of spring already (not blossoming yet but you can see the beginnings of the little bud things).
  • *sigh* I am seriously jealous of you folks with green growing things.  It'll be at least 2 months before we see the ground here.  There is a beauty in seeing your world blanketed in white but it has worn out it's welcome and I'm ready to move on.  This has been a brutal winter with LOTS of snow that doesn't come in small doses and it is wreaking havoc on homes and buildings.  I'm calling uncle.  :(  I'm sick of shoveling, I'm sick of snow blowing down the back of my jacket, I'm sick of the "winter waddle" so I don't fall on my butt walking outside, I'm sick of sitting inside all day, time for spring and blooming flowers and vegetable garden planting.

I honestly think I would have a mental breakdown if I lived where it snowed so much.  I can handle about one weekend of snow a year and even with that, I am always so cold it's all I can do to keep a good attitude.  Come visit whenever you need a break!  This is the only time of the year our hills are green and they are so green right now it almost looks fake.

  • The nasty stuff stopped last night ending in an inch or so of ice and about a quarter inch of snow.  Today has been uneventful so far, but while I was out earlier, the weather emergency system announced more ice will start sometime between now and 4.  After that, it's supposed to snow a gob.  We'll see.
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • It is cold and dreary in Metro Detroit today.  We are supposed to get 10-16 inches of snow.  Not a single flake has fallen yet today.  We'll see what happens.  I hope we get lots because if we do, DH will get to "work from home", aka- hang out with me and Peyton.  :)

  • All over the place.  From the low twenties last week to the 50's this past weekend.  Yesterday we had sleet and ice, but it's 49 today and supposed to be 66 with thunderstorms tomorrow.  Crazy.
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • I'm right up the road from you (Howell-type area) :) So far just flurries, but school is already canceled tomorrow - I cannot remember the last time things have closed down with not a hint of the storm actually starting yet. Around here it usually takes some pretty wild weather to have them even think of calling anything off.  I'm sort of hoping we get at least a foot of snow tonight though,  I've been hoping for a good day to go out and do some sledding with my nieces and nephews!
