Happy February-Who's getting snow?
No snow for us here, just some rain tomorrow and a high temp of 70! Of course then Thursday is back to 40, boo!
Fell asleep last night at 7:30, woke up at 9 to go upstairs and slept until 5:30, guess I was tired.
Re: Happy February-Who's getting snow?
I would be too Dani. I don't get why OPM is such a PITA when it comes to the safety of the workers. Not every govt worker uses public transit, I know I couldn't when I was working in Anacostia.

Ah ok. That does make sense.

I do take public transportation to work in the DC area and it's still a pain in the @ss in this weather.
Yesterday my car slid in the parking lot of the commuter train station, because the entrance is a sheet of ice since they didn't properly plow from the last snow storm. Then I couldn't actually find a parking spot, because they filled parking spaces with plowed snow (there are plenty of open/grassy areas in and around the parking lot). I had to drive back to my house, wake up DH and ask him to take me back to the train station and drop me off. argh.
This morning, my commuter train was only 15 minutes delayed due to the weather. Most of the time it's worse.
This morning, I slipped and fell down the steps of the shuttle bus that takes me from the train station to work (while wearing sneakers, I don't even wear my dress shoes on the train).
I hate winter in Maryland.

I'm sorry. You're definitely having a crappy morning!
I haven't seen anything yet. I think I'm probably just going to see normal rain...

my read shelf:
Well we have snow today here, not part of the main part of the storm. Had about half inch to an inch on the car this morning. The Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tonight around 10pm and we're supposed to get 9-15 inches. Who knows what we'll end up with though.
I'm not super concerned about getting to work tomorrow. Shouldn't be too bad for me. DH however has a 60min commute and has to take the NYS Thurway to get to his school. It could be great driving on there because it's a main road, or it could be horrible and take him double the time. Hopefully it will not be the later.
My Knot Bio My Blog
We have about 5 inches so far. We're supposed to get about 18 inches by tomorrow night. For once my work is closed tomorrow but I can work from home tomorrow or come in to work on Saturday. I think I might do both since I won't get much done tomorrow.
I've heard that the snow on Saturday is supposed to be about another foot. Just what we need. We already got over 50 inches in January, that's about 40 inches more than normal. After these 2 storms we will have passed our average snow fall for the entire winter in the span of 38 days.
