DH took her in this morning and they ran blood tests first thing. Poor girl has pancreatitis. She has been at the vet's office all day receiving meds and fluids through an IV. She should come home tonight and then can't eat for 24 hours. She'll also be on a low fat diet the rest of her life. The crazy thing is, is that she has been on a really expensive and low fat dog food her whole life. I switched her to the senior formula 2 years ago. I'm guessing that some dogs are just more predisposed to these things. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. I can't wait to see her bounding up the stairs and begging for food again. It is not fun to see your pet in pain!
