I called into a radio station and won tickets... to a monster truck show.
An ex-bf once won a free trip to Jamaica on our local news. They were giving away a trip a day and advertising it as "Fly Away in the Month of May" and you had to answer some questions. He got through and won.
The trip was entirely paid for, no cost to us whatsoever for airfare or the AI (stay, food, drinks), transfers, etc. Only problem was it was for one night and you weren't allowed to pay your own way to extend the trip. So we got there at 8am one day and left at like 10pm the following night. We crammed A LOT in that time though and had a blast.

JJ won tickets to the Daytona race at Best Buy one year, but he entered the drawing at Christmas and we were in school in NC so we couldn't make the trip to FL for the February race. We gave his parents the tickets... sucked.
I've never won anything, like ever. I'm a little salty about it, and hope to one day with the HGTV home giveaway or Publisher's Clearing House.
I won a Larry the Cucumber plushie when I was ten at a christian bookstore drawing.
My sister won Bob the Tomato that same day

I won a nintendo on a pizza hut scratch-off thing when I was a kid. And I won a raffle a couple of years ago at work for some movie passes and a couple of DVDs.
I don't think I 'won' it because I had to host a party where I spent about $250 for food and decor. It was really for blog promotion. I kind of feel like it was work, in a way.
I'm glad you agree. Now I can continue to be bitter and expect to one day win something really, really good.
I won a CD cleaner at a work Christmas Party one year.
I am also sitting in the bitter corner never having won anything cool, especially after I almost had a free Bahamas vacation this morning.

DH and I went on a free Mediterranean cruise (our work paid for it through the employee referral program) - they paid for our flights to Barcelona and the actual cruise. We had to pay for our own spending money, which ended up being about $2k.. not bad for a week in Spain, France and Italy
I've actually won quite a lot over the years. Starting when I was a kid, I won a drawing contest and got tickets to Sea World. I also won a giant stuffed panda bear and a giant stuffed Energizer Bunny in elementary school.
As an adult, I called in to a radio station and won tickets to see Rod Stewart in concert. I've won several items from blog contests.
DH won a TV at his company party this past December. We didn't need another TV so he took it back to Best Buy and got a store credit. So far he bought a James Bond game for the Wii. I'd like to use the rest of the credit for a deep freezer. I am super exciting.
