Are you going to find out the sex of your baby?

I am for sure, my next appointment is Thursday, and I'll schedule the anatomy scan then, so it should be the first week in March. I can't wait!

  • We are. I am so excited to see the baby again. We almost got to have an ultrasound yesterday to confirm a heartbeat, but she managed to find it with the doppler in the end. I wasn't sure whether or not to be dissapointed.

My next appointment is Feb 28, and our anatomy scan is March 14.

ETA: Included in the sonogram instructions was the requirement that I drink 16 oz of water or juice 30 minutes before sonogram. My eyes about bugged out of my head. DH goes "It's not that much" and I just stared at him in what I hope was a derisive manner before reminding him that I pee about 20 times daily.

  • I've been bummed that I only get 2 u/s during the pregnancy unless I want to go somewhere and pay, but then I read some girl's comment on TB about u/s "microwaving the baby" and it freaked me out.

She said she's an xray tech and has some sort of degree in the field. I asked JJ (they often do u/s in the Training Room) about it and I guess it's all inconclusive, but I was like ooookay, guess I'm good with just 2!

I hate that people get on message boards with their shock value comments. But then again, I love it when it doesn't affect me and pisses off others... lol.

That was the worst part of my scan with Jeffery. I drank the water, then they had an emergency they had to work in and someone that went home. I waited 45 minutes to be seen, then got the tech that took 1.5 hours (seriously, no kidding) to do it all.

In the end, I was pissed because I had to pee, my back hurt from lying flat the whole time, and the tech had me worried that something was wrong (and he kept saying "he" even though we told him we didn't want to know). I'm still kinda pissy about that (no pun intended, lol!).
