Selling Used CDs

How does one go about doing this?  Miss Ridley is in the throes of potty training and I am hoping that we will be completely out of diapers within the next month or so (of course this could be wishful thinking on my part).  Do I just put an ad on Craigslist?  Contact the company that I bought them from (Jillian's Drawers)?  Is there consignment for this sort of thing?  How do I know how much to ask for them?  They are all in pretty good shape.  No stains, but the velcro is a little worn.

HELP!

Re: Selling Used CDs

  • I've sold quite a few diapers on diaperswappers.com.  It's basically a message board for selling used diapers.  They're organized by type of diaper, and you can browse through to get an idea of how much your diaper will go for.  My guess is BG 3.0's are probably going for around $7-9 depending on whether you're including shipping in the price or not.  I have also seen CD's at kid's consignment stores although I doubt you'd get as good a price for them there.  Maybe start with craigslist since you wouldn't have to worry about shipping then.  I've also put them up on the Bump "Swap Spot" board and put a message on the eco friendly family board (or maybe there's even a cloth diaper board) to let them know I just listed some.  The whole thing is kind of a pain, but it is nice to get that money back and know that you saved even more money on the whole thing.

  • I've never used it myself, but I've seen mention of ReDiaper.com on other boards.  You basically send them a list and pics of what you want to sell and they send you a bid. If you accept they pay you via Paypal.  They then resell them on their site for a profit. You're not going to get top dollar, but it sounds easy.

I've never heard of that, good to know!

  • I posted my GroBaby's on the Cloth Diaper board on The Bump.  Super easy and I would say about half of it was gone within a couple days.  AND IT WAS FREE! :) (so is swap spot but I'd start with CD board since that's what the board is all about!)
