I am a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding this August and I want to tone up my arms so they look good in the strapless dress. What are some exercises I can do for that? I have 3 lbs weights and also my husband has weights that can be adjusted from 5 lbs up. I figured I could always move to those if I feel that the 3 lb weights aren't doing much for me once I get into a routine. Thanks!!

Re: *Christina*
If you don't know what some of these things are just let me know and I'll try my best to explain/link them.
Remember you WON'T get big, so start with the 3-5lbers but when it gets easy go up.
Anything from 6-15 reps would be good for you. So if you are going to do it 2x a week do one heavier with less reps day and one lighter with more reps day
Shoulder Press
Lateral Raise
Front Raise
Bent Raise
Pushups
DB Bench press
Single Arm Rows
Pullups (with help)
Lying Tricep extentions
Dips (off of a chair)
Bicep Curls
::butting in::
I too am in a wedding in July, so this is good info. Question, what is a "bent raise?"
::butting out::
butt in all you want, I am happy to share
linky
that is a basic, but I would keep your hands facing the same direction (you can do it 1 of three ways, palms together, thumbs in or thumbs out) also he is going slightly forward above his shoulders, you don't want that you want it to be inline with your shoulders
lying tricep extension and dips??
And thank you so much!
lying tricep extension
Bench dip
but you can do it with your feet on the ground to start with just your bodyweight
