I am now 23 days late on my period so of course was really worried.  I took two pregnancy tests and both came back not pregnant.  I finally got ahold of my gyno and they say it is normal for you to miss your period with my birth control.  Now it confuses me a little bit since I have been taking it since July and this is the first time I have missed a period, but they are the experts so I trust them.  So hopefully my period will come soon and I am not pregnant.  Just thought I would share.

    If it makes you feel any better, I went through this just before Christmas. We were panicked that we'd have to tell our parents "Merry Christmas, you're gonna be grandparents" but just before we left for his parents, it came. I took a few pregnancy tests, too, all negative. I think it was just Christmas stress. You going through anything major that could throw you off a little?

    I don't know about birth control pills, but it is normal for women to have cysts a couple f times in their life. Basically you miss a period and then you get 2 close together the following month if the cysts clears itself up. I have had 2 so far, the first when i was in my 20's.

    Hmm..very strange. Did they say if it doesn't come in X amount of days to come back or anything?

    That is odd, but I guess it's not that uncommon if your gyno said it was normal.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

    It happened to me a couple of years ago, and the doctor said it's not at all uncommon.  And I'd been on the pill for a year or two at that point, so it wasn't an issue of being newly on BC.  If you don't get your next period, then you may want to go in and get checked out.

    They told me if I do not get it within the next two weeks to call back for an appointment to check things out.
