Finally updated my blog.

God it's been a while.

So I updated my fashion blog (and "came out" if you will).

I NEED to post more often. I enjoy it so much!

I also need to cook something good to post about...hmmm....

Re: Finally updated my blog.

  • I would like a tortilla soup recipe...just sayin'.  I know I could google it but where's the fun in that?

Any recipes that are quick/easy for dinner and healthy (around 500 calories for the meal) would be good.  I'm restricting myself to 1200-1300 calories a day now.  Must.lose.weight.

Loved the blog.  I wish I could get away with leggings and tunics but I don't think I'm skinny enough for them.  They always look so comfy and feminine.

You got it. This is a challenge I need to partake in anyways! H is trying really hard to eat healthier/exercise (he's gained about the same amount I have...).  I think the cookbook Meghann got me has a tortilla soup recipe. I've never made it; it could be a winner- thanks for the idea!

I think re: the tunics and leggings; a lot of it has to do with what your confident with. And the cut and style of the tunic/sweater you're wearing. Something with no shape will not make you feel good wearing it. If you try a tunic/long shirt- or even a long plaid button up with a belt to cinch the wait, you'd be surprised what works. I think you could do it.

  • Yeah, I'm finding dinner is the hardest meal for me.  Breakfast and lunch are easy because I make them and go to work but dinner.....I wasn't something easy and 9/10 that is way more than 500 calories.  So, I'm open to anything I can do for that!

Maybe I will at least try on a tunic leggings to see what it looks like.  I may also wait for another 20 pounds to disappear.  It can't hurt to try though :)  Thanks for the vote of confidence!

  • Please update your blog regularly with your maternity fashion finds Big Smile Please, pretty please. So far I'm striking out with the standards like Target and Old Navy. I just bought some more stuff from Motherhood, which is kind of middle of the road but I don't love the quality of some of the stuff I got there. I looked at A Pea in a Pod, but that stuff is way to expensive for maternity clothes. I'm not spending $150 on a sweater that I'll only wear for a few months. So yes, keep blogging!
  • It will be cool to see what maternity fashions you find!
