If your H was in charge of planning the wedding, what kind of wedding would you have had?

T had two ideas: One was to go to Vegas and get married in a drive through chapel. In jeans I'm sure. And probably nobody else there.

He fought for this next idea for a while: He wanted to have a BBQ in our yard and send out Evites. At least in this scenario, we would have had guests!

The exact same wedding. He had more specific ideas and demands than I did, for sure and I'm the one that will often say we should have just eloped and he'll jump on me about how it was absolutely perfect and exactly what he wanted. He probably specifically cared most about music and an open bar, both of which we did pretty well and just like he envisioned, I think.

We actually both wanted to get married in Tahoe. This didn't work out since his family was coming from the east coast And we didn't want them to travel across the country, then travel again 2-4 hours up to Tahoe. All in all I think we both got what we wanted, but he wouldve had black and white decor.

I have no idea. We collaborated a lot on the wedding. Probably a lot less people (even though most were family). I'd like to say that we would have had a WOW or Star Wars themed wedding, but I don't really think so. Probably something really simple.

Pretty much the same wedding with less floral decor. He had a lot of input during wedding planning. If I had my way, we would have eloped somewhere with a tropical climate.

It would have been the same wedding. We had a very small wedding (family only) in Kauai, and most of it was DH's idea.

He was pretty involved in the planning and even found our venue, so I'm not sure how much of the specifics he'd change. I know he'd want to find a way to make it way way less expensive, or at least shift priorities a bit. He'd probably spend more on booze, photography, and the honeymoon, and less (or nothing) on things like flowers/decorations, officiant, etc.

Oh if he had his way, we would have gotten married at the campgrounds we go to every year. Yes, we COULD have done it but um, everyone one would have been a)miserable b/c of the heat and b) dirty! Ick.

It would have involved me carry a basket of puppies instead of flowers. Wink

He joked about a Vegas wedding but when it came down to it he wouldn't have wanted that because he wanted to be surrounded by friends and family. He probably would have arranged to use a family friend's very large, very flat backyard and had a BBQ. He definitely would not have worn a suit but jeans and a T-shirt. The cake would have been the cheesecake with the Simpson's topper we had at our rehearsal dinner. If he'd picked out my dress it would have been very short.

Easy. A beach wedding in Mexico with just the two of us. No friends or family, just a couple of bystanders to act as witnesses. I've told him that if and when we do a vow renewal, it'll be like this.

Kevin wanted to get married in the Redwoods, so we did. Really, he had a big influence on our wedding, he actually had opinions. I don't know what he would have done differently really.

Ditto to your H's second idea. DH wanted us to get married in my mom's backyard (when his parents is twice the size and way nicer) and have a BBQ cooked by his dad.

He actually would have tried as hard as possible to do what he thought I would have wanted. But he would have forgotten half the stuff. He is not always the best at remembering things.

I thought this was what would his fantasy wedding have been if he had complete dictatorial control and I had no input. That's not the way things were for our wedding, it was a compromise. I contributed more ideas because he didn't care much about some aspects. On other things he was more involved. He was very happy with our wedding even if I didn't look like the bride in the Van Halen video.

JOP 2 years before we actually got married. He tried to get me to do it once about a year before the wedding and I said no way.
