I really dislike my husband's co-workers

My DH is the facility manager of a baseball stadium.  This means he gets all of the alarm calls.  People are constantly forgetting to disarm the system or make sure doors are completely shut.  If no one answers their phone when DH is trying to figure out who is at the stadium he has to drive down there.  It is laziness/carelessness on the part of his co-workers and it is just annoying.

We are getting pounded with snow (and worse wind) right now.  And of course someone forgot to lock a door tonight, so with the wind it keeps blowing open and he gets alarm calls.  So he left a few minutes ago to go down and check.  I can hear the snow blowing against our house, so the drive must be a nightmare.

No need to respond...I just wanted to vent because now I just have to worry for the next few hours (it would normally take less than an hour to drive there, secure the building, and come back) that my husband makes it home okay because his co-workers suck!

  • I still would like to respond :)

Is there any way these workers can be written up in some way? It seems like if this keeps happening, someone should be held accountable, and not your husband for having to fix their mistakes.

I hope he has a safe drive there and back!

  • It sounds like bad management.  The people who work there should have a checklist of things that need completion at the end of the night, and consequences for not completing the list.  That's irresponsible, and it sounds like no one even cares.

Sorry your hubby is the work horse :(
