Do yourself a favor and DO NOT fall behind in downloading, printing, labeling, and storing your photos.

I'm pretty good about downloading and printing photos but have totally slacked on the labeling and storing parts. I'm now trying to get through nearly three years of photos and it sucks, big time.

OMG!! I am awful when it comes to printing my pictures!! I have thousands that need to be printed!!!!! I love to take pictures but now I have to get better with actually printing them and doing something with them Hmm

I used to think I was going to make beautiful scrapbooks. Now I'm just trying to get photos into albums in chronological order. <sigh>

Joshua has some wonderful scrapbooks......poor Leah has nothing! The second one always gets robbed! ha! My friend has a full day of scrapbooking once a month for free and I have decided to start going! I have a lot of catching up to do! Joshua loves to sit and look through his with me and I'm sure in time Leah will be looking for her books! Sooo....good luck with all of your pictures! I know how it is!

That's a great idea to set aside a day for scrapbooking! We're definitely slacking in the printing/making photo albums area too and really need to get on board. At least they're all uploaded & organized by date - we use Picasa to share them w/ people so luckily DH has weeded through them all too, otherwise this would be so overwhelming. I'm waiting for a good sale on photo books and then I guess I should just do it!

I know, I need to do this too! Besides a couple bigger prints from Carly, I haven't printed anything. I'm so worried about losing all the digital ones too. Maybe I'll work on that today!

I have everything organized on iPhoto and I am working on their one year scrapbook right now (I know they are almost two.... my goal is to finish by Feb break)

and I have already decided that from now on, I am just going to order from shutterfly.... there isn't nearly as many pictures from this past year as their was from their first... so it will only get easier I think!

I'm really bad at this also. Since I have now dropped down to part time, this has been one of my projects, to DS photos all printed out before the next one comes... It's taking forever though!

I have nine years of photos that I still haven't printed all of....yeah, I'm behind. I have everything backed up on CD's and flash drives, and everything is labeled month and year, so it helps a bit. I wish I had the time to scrapbook, it would be great to get them all organized in one place where the girls could look at them. Now when they do we just open a folder and set it to slide show Stick out tongue

Hey, maybe we need to schedule a photo/scrapbooking get together!

I'm probably not taking enough pictures of Veronica. I'm also cheating and getting little books made through the photo sites rather than printing pictures. I did one with her newborn photos and will do another one when we have enough cute pics. Our camera reacts too slowly for me to get the shots I want. We just got a video camera so hopefully that will help me capture the elusive 'perfect' shot.

Personally, I think this is totally the way to go! I spent $200 on our wedding album between the album, printing pictures, etc and I enjoy looking at our $20 shutterfly coffeebook way more. I'm hoping to do a book for each birthday and call it a day, er, year. :-) You can label right in the book!

I agree! I was ordering prints all the time for the first year and filling up photo albums so fast! I have decided, for now, to make a photobook each season. Working better for me and taking up a lot less space and money!

I make an online book every year for Ben. It still takes so long because I usually take a lot of pictures. I like it because I just order additional books for grandparents so it's not like I have to make several books over and over. I usually use mypublisher. I always have a goal of working on it as I take pictures over the year, but usually it gets done at crunch time around Christmas since I need them for gifts.
