TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermI was all ready to come in here and tell you how I excited I was for you! You definitely got me...
I mentioned this in another post, but we are also expecting snow this week...in Houston.
Evidently they are really worried about it because the rare times that we do get snow, it comes in with the cold, and in this case, it will be below freezing basically for 36-48 hours before the snow starts (it was 19 at my house this morning, which is crazy around here). This means that the roads will already be very cold, so it will create more havoc than usual. We just don't have the equipment here to deal with it, so everything comes to a standstill.
In other news, apparently it is so cold that Texas is doing rolling blackouts to deal with the energy consumption. I just don't understand how we can be using as much power now as we do in our HOT summers, especially since so many people have gas heaters. Needless to say, driving to work took an extra long time today because of all the lights that were out.
OK, sorry, I'm done ranting!

I saw Meagan's facebook status about the blackouts, that's crazy. I hope you get to at least stay home and play in it and not have to drive, shovel, plow etc... you're expecting so you shouldn't have to anyway!
Oh, don't worry about the shoveling/plowing - I don't think they even sell tools/machines like that here! But, yeah, my plan is to get Chris to take me out to dinner tonight since we'll probably not leave for the next couple of days.
The blackouts totally suck though - I'm at the office today and Chris texted me to tell me that they're still out - more than 3 hours later (and they're only supposed to last 10-45 minutes). Ugh.
Thanks for the sympathy - I know it's nothing compared to what you guys have been getting up there, so I shouldn't be complaining!

Anabeth, you are evil
I totally fell for it.
I would love to post this on my FB, but we aren't expecting. No snow (or Babies) anytime soon
