as an aside, this reminds me of an episode of sex and the city where I think Samantha says that asking for a threesome is the beginning of the end for a relationship.

I could definitely see that. Part of the reason I asked was because I know several married couples who have had three-somes, and actually enjoyed the experience together. A couple of them were a "it was a one time deal", where as two of the other couples I know have done it more than once.

I agree with this. I actually think swinging would be healthier for a relationship that a threesome (and that would still raise some questions).

I wouldn't do either, though.

I agree with this. I actually think swinging would be healthier for a relationship that a threesome (and that would still raise some questions).
I wouldn't do either, though.

I have a friend who used to be in an open relationship (not swinging exactly). They broke up after a couple of years. No idea if it was related, but the whole concept is so odd to me.

will never happen and the topic has come up. We both agree it's not something we would ever do. I have been asked to participate before (when I was single) but I said no.

I chose the last option. HOWEVER, it is something we've talked about because it's something I think I'd like to try. That being said it's not something that would actually happen....I don't think I could go through with it, being married & all.
