Anyone else at work today?
I think Andrea has to, and I do...anyone else? I wish just once my work would just close and not wait until 3 when it's already terrible out to say we can go home. It is not imperative to our business to stay open this one day...all our sales are made with stores in NE, which most probably aren't even open today. Oh well, at least my class is canceled for tonight! Have a safe day everyone!

I'm here, but we *may* close early ... I hope!! Copper, my work is that way too ... it's like a badge of honor for them that we stay open no matter what and only close when the boss hears it's truly dangerous and THEN sends everyone home ... doesn't make sense to me!! We don't provide an essential service like electricity, phone, EMS etc. so why not just close? A good friend of mine works just down the road from my house and came and scraped off my car for me this morning so at least the day started pleasantly.

I SHOULD be at work but because of T's ear infection, I'm home. Using PTO but if the office closes today, like I'm pretty sure they will, then I'll use admin time instead of PTO. Which is always good.
T actually took her meds great this am. No protesting! yeah!

The DC office is shut down??? WHAT? Crazy! We didn't really get a weather event last night, except in far northern Maryland.
Well, I told my boss I will be leaving at 1 ... honestly I just don't feel safe waiting till much later, my car is not great in snow
They are still talking about possibly closing at 3. I just want to get home safely and start cooking food, because for some reason blizzards make me want to cook and be domestic.
Me too! I've been thinking about how I want to go home and make muffins and clean my house!
