What a way to make a Return...
Hello Ladies well i know its been forever since i have been on here, many of you'll I may not know well, some of you I have kept up with on Facebook. However i have checked in on this board from time to time.
Can we believe that its about to be a Year, (Time flies) , and Congrats to so many of you who have had Babies or have little ones on the way.
Well i have wondered when i would check in, well i guess now is better time than any. I So needed someone to talk to and you ladies came to mind since we was all so helpful in each other?s lives and wedding choices last year this time.
Well here it goes: I'm Pregnant!!!!! Excited and oh so nervous!!!! My son will be 11 in July and Hubby has no biological Children (so he is going to over joyed, -***Yeah he doesn't know yet) I just confirmed it today with a at Home pregnancy test (haven't learned the nest and bump lingo yet, lol) I?m about four or five weeks. I knew i was feeling weird BB(learned that 1) was sore and really fatigue but then slight nausea started this past weekend nothing serious.... But i have mixed emotions I?m so happy but then so scared to be starting all over. ( is that weird?)
I haven?t told Hubby yet because I want to make it special for him just so happens that Feb. 5th (this coming Saturday), is the day in 2009 that Hubby Gave me my surprise proposal dinner. So I was thinking of doing something cute like returning the gesture and to surprise him by taking him back to the same restaurant that he proposed at.
This is so not like me I think Pregnancy is a very private thing, until a little further in my pregnancy. But I HAD TO SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE (THANKS LADIES FOR BEING MY LISTENING Ear)
P.S. add any ideas of how to tell Hubby (love creative ideas, and I know you?ll creative, I?ve seen the D.I.Y?S)

Yeah! Congrats! It's been an adventure for me and DH for sure. We had a bit of a scare on Monday, but after ultrasounds and an appointment, we are back in the clear of all ok. Such relief!
Here's how we told:
For DH, I bought a onsie and iron-on paper. I took our "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" design and made a "Thing 3" for our kiddo. I wrapped it up and had it on the counter when he got home from work. Even though we had been trying and seeking help, he was still in shock.
We told his parents at his mom's birthday celebration at a local restaurant. We made a special birthday menu for her with the dishes she made for DH as a kid. The final item on the dessert section was "Third Grandchild" with a "coming in June" sticker.
We weren't able to tell my dad in person since he was OOT. We mailed him a letter from baby asking him to be sure to keep these (enclosed books) so that he could read them to him. I enclosed copies of "Just me and my Grandpa" by Mercer Mayer and "Goodnight Moon." Goodnight Moon is my all-time favorite book and was a special read for me with my dad. He'd read it to me, then take me outside on the bedroom deck and we'd say goodnight to everything.
I was going to do this, but didn't have the patience... Make dinner with all "baby" items. Baby carrots, cornish game hen, mashed potatoes, etc.

Awww welcome back and Congratulations!!!!!! That is so very exciting.
Like SpceCadet said I like the "baby" dinner idea. I remember when 'Becky' told 'Uncle Jesse' on Full House, she made dinner with "baby" carrots etc. That scene has obviously stuck in my head.

Congrats on being pregnant! I was SO not creative, because I didn't believe I actually was KU (that's some lingo
). I just woke DH up at 445 in the morning and asked him if he saw a plus sign. That was it. Then we both went back to bed. I would have liked to find some sort of onsie to give him, so maybe you could give him some sort of gift at dinner to tell him.

Aaaaahhhhhhh congratulations girl!!! One idea I can think of is to wrap up a onesie that says "I love daddy" and give it to him at dinner.
I'm jealous I didn't get to be creative in telling my husband when I was pregnant so I am living vicariously through you
Thanks Ladies, i love all the ideas, i think i'm going to do the onies, and the actual stick that says "Pregnant" (CBE TEST)... Thank you Ladies this waiting is killing me (I wanna tell him soooo Bad) Hes going to be ecstatic... We'll probably wait until our anniversary to tell everyone else but he may want to tell my MIL and she has the biggest mouth (love her but she does)..

Haha it really was, too! FYI, I'm not sure if you were saying you would try and save the original HPT, but you may want to take a picture of the positive instead. I know most tests over time will fade or show a weird result so at least the picture will last.
I had no idea we were so similar ... my daughter just turned 11 and DH has no children of his own but we are expecting twins in August!
