Snow update...

Well, we didn't get the 10-18" they called for - thank god!  But we still got nailed.  I'd say about 6" on the ground plus several feet of drifts.  THe snow is finally tapering off now, and the sun is out!!!!  =)  Guess I'm staying at work for the full duration!

And Margaret, there will be photos on FB tonight!!!

Re: Snow update...

  • We didn't really get any snow, which I have mixed feelings about.  I'm glad we didn't get the 12-20" they were predicting, but it would have been nice to actually have some snow if everything was going to be shut down. However, we did get 3" of sleet, which is so not cool at all.  Now we just have frigid temps.

  • Big miss for us too! They were predicting a lot of freezing rain and sleet/ice...but temps stayed up and all we got was rain. I was actually pretty happy about that, as H and I both now have whatever bug he brought home Friday, and neither one of us is up for snow/ice removal at this time!

  • We just got freezing rain in central NJ - it's verrry slippery and so I worked from home today.  I've been trooping it in for every snowstorm this winter, and I drive 30 miles each way to work.  I didn't feel bad about not going in today in the ice!!!

    Stay warm and safe girls!!!

  • We had a snow day yesterday, and an ice day today. Everything around us is caked in 3/4" of ice....roads, cars, trees. It is supposed to get windy tonight so I hope that the heavy trees hold strong and that we don't lose any power.' I think it will probably melt and freeze again tomorrow and the next day...eek.

  • Oh jeez!  22" here.

  • 22" Danielle? Wow!
It was sunny and high of 67 degrees in San Diego!  But I'm enjoying all of the "snowpocalypse" pictures on facebook! My parents got slammed with snow in Northern MI (this is when they opened the door to their deck - there is even a step down):
