It was only a matter of time...
MFD never puts his wedding ring in the same place, and sure enough it's lost somewhere in the house. I was betting it would be much sooner! He spent around $300 on it, and I want to do a super cheapo replacement.
So, just like old times on TN...where can I get a cheap male wedding band?
Re: It was only a matter of time...
Aw, man! That stinks though - I'm sorry
www.titaniumkay.com
J's band was 100 bucks and he lurves it.

Ugh, I keep telling H that he's going to lose his, because he does the same thing, putting it in random spots.
Do you have a material in mind? If you want gold, I think Overstock is the cheapest I found. Otherwise, I'd look at Steffie's suggestion of titanium. I think Laura had a really cheap alternative as well.
We looked at both titaniumkay and tungstenworld.com, they both have great prices and return policies/warranties. I think Jeff's was $120 with shipping. If he doesn't want an alternative metal you could check out bluenile.com or overstock.com.
I'd also suggest buying him something to but the ring in. Some people use a box, a dish, whatever. Maybe if you get it, he will use it!
Edit: Jeff's came form Tungsten World. I actually have a matching one as well for the beach and water activities, because they were running a special. MushE and I are on the same wavelength today!
I did this, and MH refuses to use it. He often comes home and drops his wallet, keys, change, and ring on our kitchen table, but it seems to get lost among all that crap. I have a little ceramic dish that I keep on my dresser and put my ring on at night, but he thinks it's a hassle to have to go to that one place to drop the ring off.
He has a box on his bookshelf in our bedroom. I have not once seen the ring in there. hahahahaha
I am going to get myself another band too. I like to change things up, and I had a hard time deciding between my aquamarine eternity band (which I ended up getting), a celtic knot band, and a plain white gold band.
Thanks ladies, I'll check these out!
I'm honestly not sure if Jeff would use a box, either. But I know some people do it, so I figured I would put it out there
Since you already have a box, maybe you could put it closer to where he takes off his coat, takes out his wallet and keys, etc? If it was nearer to where he does his coming home ritual, he might be more inclined to take off his ring at the same time and put it in the same place. I dunno though. Men are strange creatures.
I bought K's from here as well and he loves it. They have awesome customer service, free shipping, and K's ring was only $99.
Oh don't feel bad H lost his ring the second week of NOVEMBER!!! Thankfully it wasn't in Vegas when he went with just the boys in Oct. I would have been piissed!
Actually good thing I was with him when he did loss it, since we were in Tallahassee for the FSU game. I am partly to blame since I made him wear it on this trip, even though for work he didn't really wear his ring everyday.
We are also looking for a cheaper replacement. Since H's ring was pretty cheap knowing he wouldn't really wear it to begin with
I ditto O.co aka overstock.com. The comercial for O.co makes me giggle. A shortcut for overstock.com, thank you for saving me from typing a whole 9 extra letters.
Anyhoo, I also worry that H will lose his band. He works with his hands so prior to each shift he takes his band off and leaves it in his car, or puts it in his pocket. It is only a matter of time before he loses his too.
K is a mechanic, so he CAN'T wear his band @ work for safety reasons. He just keeps it in my jewelry box and only wears it when we're going out. Frustrates me b/c I still have to remind him (although he's remembering on his own more), but at least I don't have to worry about him losing it.
Yay, that's fun! I told MH I wanted to get another band after we have kids, to put in front of my e-ring, and joked that he should get it for me. He was like, why? So I had to pull out the dreaded term "push present." Lol.
I was just bitching to H about this! I love Overstock, but this is stupid IMO.
i also vote for overstock.com
our rings came from there and love them
dons tungsten ring was only $70. i thought for sure that he'd love it or never wear it, but he's only forgotten it once at home since september - i took it to work w/ me so he could pick it up later on that day. at first he would take it off at work, but he's used to it now and doesn't take it off unless he's showering and then she puts it right back on. im highly impressed with him!
wow - i hadn't heard about this...seems pretty stupid to me too
I used titaniumkay.com, replacement is on its way for $54.99 nice nice. Thank you and GOOD DAY!
Of course we will find his tonight.
Probably, but now you have a backup!
ger is also a mechanic and cannot wear his ring...but im not too worried--one month after the wedding he went and got a wedding ring tattooed so he really can never not have something on his ring finger. he is also really good about when he takes it off--he takes it off at work, attaches it to his key chain and puts it in his pocket
Blog
lol - K is deathly afraid of needles - loves blood & gore horror movies, but can't watch a needle going into someone's arm on a medical drama he KNOWS IS FAKE. (Big Baby). So sweet that G did that, though.
