Dinner challenge: Ground turkey
Okay, so all you cooks out there. I defrosted some ground turkey for dinner tonight. We usually have turkey burgers or turkey meatballs and pasta, but I'm looking for some other ideas. Any suggestions on something different I can do? Our pantry is not fully stocked, so it has to work with pasta, rice/grains, onions, garlic, broccoli, salad, pita bread, tomato sauce, olive oil, frozen peas and carrots, and ah, that's about it. Well, I have power bars and diet coke but I don't think they will go very well together.
Nooner? Any Iron Chef ideas for me?

I use that when I'm feeling like I'm in a rut but at the end of my shopping week, so I don't have everything I normally would.
You could do this with tomato sauce instead of tomatoes and add browned ground turkey:

Stand up for something you believe in.
Also, do you have buffalo sauce? Because buffalo turkey meatloaf/ burgers are awesome.
Do you have cheese? Because turkey parm burgers are good too- mix turkey with italian seasoning, a handful of panko crumbs (or any bread crumbs) and a bit of shredded mozzarella, then cook, then add sauce and cheese on top and broil. So yummy.

When I don't know what to cook, I usually just throw it into a pot and call it soup. You could make a yummy soup with ground turkey, some pasta or rice, tomato sauce, and throw in some peas/carrots/broccoli.
turkey and rice stuffed peppers (my favorite use of ground turkey)
second favorite - Summer bolognase (could easily sub a can of diced tomatoes since tomatoes aren't in season)
Good ideas, girls. I may do the turkey parm burgers, if only because I have everything for that, tho I am a bit sick of italian, we've been having that alot lately.
I think we do have some Frank's Red Hot sauce...hmmm...may have to look into the buffalo burger thing tho.
