how to get a urine specimen from a minature pinscher?!?! Our poor baby has been a bit incontinent in her sleep for the past couple weeks so we took her to the vet today. When Rusty called and made the appointment, no one told him that we needed to get a specimen so that they could check for a UTI...we both assumed that they could cath her. We got there on time and the tech then asked if we had brought the specimen...um, what? No. Of course not because we didn't know we needed to.
The tech walked her around outside with no luck so all the vet did was palpate her abdomen and tekk us to bring back a sample.
I've been outside for an hour trying to get one...she keeps squatting like she's about to but as soon as she sees me running to get one with the cup she freaks out, stops, and runs away. Wouldn't you?!
Seriously guys. I'm tempted to get a diaper to put on her with the cup in it. haha HELP!
