Hi All,
I know I haven't posted anything significant in a while. My sense of humor seriously tanked after we got back from Italy, because my mother was very ill. Some of you know that she had cancer (in my brief talking about it), and it had really taken its grip on her, even by the wedding in August.
My mother lost her battle to cancer last night.
Luckily, DH and I were here (she had been admitted to the hospital on Saturday last week, and we decided that it would be best if we came up to see how she was doing and help my father out at home). Due to complications from her cancer, she went into septic shock on Saturday, and passed in about 5 hours after she had really skidded. I held her hand when she took her last breath, and I'll never be more grateful that I was able to be there for her when she needed me.
So now there's one more angel in heaven, and we're trying to cope as best we can all things considered. One of the things that DH and I keep saying to each other is that we're so glad that we decided to get married when we did, even though it took so much out of us to try to plan a wedding in 8 months from 600 miles away. And without you ladies, I don't know if I could have made it through that abysmal process.
So, if you could, please think of my mother and our family tonight. We're relieved that she's at peace, after everything that she'd been through with her fight against cancer. But it's still difficult for us to say goodbye and deal with this so suddenly. My parents had the closest, happiest marriage that I've ever witnessed, and it's so tough to see my father be so lost without her. So if you can, please send good vibes our way as we try to deal with this.

Re: Hottie Knottie T&P please...
Thoughts, prayers, hugs and lots of love being sent your way during this sad and difficult time. It is wonderful that you were able to be with her, supporting her and letting her know how much she is loved and appreciated. Take care of yourself and please know that your nestie family is here for you whenever you need us! xo
I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom to cancer in 2005. It is a horrible disease. Take all the time you need to grieve and don't let anyone make you feel like you need to get back to a "normal". You will eventually have a new "normal". Be prepared for major events, that will creep up on you and be very difficult. If ou ever want to talk please let me know. I will be thinking of your family in this terrible time.
Lindsay
