I can use neosporin on my cat?
She has a tiny chunk I guess is the best word missing from her face. Its not a scratch but like a little spot where her hair and skin are missing, nothing really deep. She was with my mom for 3 weeks while DH and I were on our honeymoon and she got it there. My mom said she got it a few days before we got back and it's been over a week now. It doesn't seem to be bothering her at all and it doesn't look infected it just every time it appears to be healing up she rubs up against something or scratches it again. I was thinking if I could put some on it then it might heal up faster and before she can re-open it. We are thinking about buying her a cone to wear until it is better but that will make me feel really bad seeing her in it.
TIA!
Re: Does anyone know if...
I wouldn't. I would just wash the affected area with warm soapy (antibacterial) soap. If it gets worse/doens't heal, I would take her to the vet and they will prescribe her an antibiotic.
GL!
You can use something like this... I've used it on our cats in the past.
But if it starts to get worse or ooze you should def take the cat to see the vet.
