I'm doing ALL the flowers and I'm a BM for a 350 wedding

Eek! I love doing flowers, but I've never made those huge floral arrangements that are often on both sides of the B & G at the from of the ceremony. I sort of want to rent or buy flowering trees instead to put on both sides (this is a church wedding; sanctuary is pretty huge), but i'm wondering if this would look weird because the G will be wearing a lei (he's from Hawaii.). When I see leis, I think palm trees, but I don't think flowering trees (like a cherry tree). But I know the B doesn't want palm trees in the church; she definitely wants something colorful. Does anyone have any ideas / pictures / what you did - for the ceremony flowers? And I'm doing all the flowers on Friday, day before the wedding, because I have to be available for pictures Saturday morning and H&M. I have to make 36 centerpieces. I think I'm in over my head. But I might do orchids submersed in water and floating candles, rose petals around, for the centerpiece, in which case her friends can assemble these on Saturday morning. I digress. Anyway, any ideas for the front of the church?
