Stormaggedon...

Anyone else in the path of the monster snow storm about to hit today? I am in western IL and we're supposed to get anywhere from 8-18". Kinda crazy. I hate all the hype that precedes a snowstorm! The weather people are annoying. Lol. And I went to the store last night for milk/bread/etc. and many of the store shelves were empty! It's SNOW, people! Not molten lava! Lol!

Oh - and 2 of our local DJ's were making fun of all of it yesterday and called it Snowpocalypse. Too funny.

  • We are on the edge and supposed to get about 6-8 inches.  Crappy thing is we got ice yesterday so some spots have ice underneath the snow.  Definitely not fun to drive in but not too bad.  School was canceled today and will probably be tomorrow but more because of the cold.

  • I am in MA, we got about 8 inches today and getting antoher 10 or so tomorrow.  The snow banks are literally 15 feet high at the end of my driveway.  My roof is leaking and 2 windows have water just puring in, I am so done with this winter!!!

  • We've been snowed/iced in since Tuesday.  Last I saw, the news said we got from 5 to 18 inches of snow.  The northeast part of our state got the 18 inches, where I am we got about 7 inches I think.  The snow drifts are insane, the one just past our front porch is about 4-5 feet.
I worked Monday but Tuesday, today, and tomorrow my school is closed so at least I'm getting a little vacation out of all this snow! :)
  • I do not envy you ladies at all. That's one good thing about south Louisiana. It doesn't snow. If it snows, it melts before it hits the ground. We had about 5 minutes of sleet today. Our high is 45 degrees. I'm so ready for spring. My baby has lots of cute spring clothes that I can't wait to put on her.
