QOTD

Do you usually bring your lunch to work or go out to eat?

Re: QOTD

  • I go out to eat / grab something to eat at my desk.  We are so not on the ball enough to bring lunch to work every day.

  • I try to bring one everyday. It is way cheaper.  If I don't, I usually run down to our caf and get a salad.

  • Mon-Thu I bring a lunch, Fri I go out with coworkers!

  • With my new schedule I don't really have time to eat, so I usually just bring an apple or 3. If I had to be at work today I would have brought something because no kids would be in school.

  • I usually go out to eat on Tuesdays and bring my lunch every other day.

  • I pack my lunch 4 days out of the week and I usually go out to eat on Fridays. We definitely save a lot of money by doing that.

  • About half and half. Over the past few months when V was working on his thesis at home, I brought my lunch in a lot. When he came in to the lab and could meet me for lunch, we usually planned to go out for lunch together.

  • I also pack my lunch Mon-Thurs and head out to eat on Fridays.
  • I bring my lunch everyday.  There is very little selection on post and it is a pain to go elsewhere.

  • I bring my lunch most days; I try to go out to lunch only 2-3 times a month.  The expense really adds up because it's hard to get lunch for less than $10 downtown and I should be more money-wise.  Often I will get home in the evening and cook something for the next day's lunch.  Last night it was double-purpose because my daughter was home for dinner and had the meal, and I packed my lunch while she was eating.  Score!

  • I bring my lunch 99% of the time.

  • I'd say it ends up being about 50/50.  I try to bring my lunch if we have leftovers from the night before (today I have left over sweet and sour chicken), but if there are no leftovers or I'm in a rush, I just grab something.  Since we moved offices, I've been grabbing lunch and b'fast out more often.  I hope that I settle back into a routine soon and get back to bringing more often.  Lunch out in D.C. is spendy if you are doing it all the time.

  • Lately DH has been cooking, so there hasn't been much for leftovers. I usually try to piece together enough snacks and munchies to get me through the day, but if not, I grab something in the caf. Working at a school has its benefits sometimes. Last night I remembered to make some noodles so I'd have lunch today.

  • I bring my lunch most days and eat out on average probably 1 day/week.
  • My husband packs my lunch for me each morning. I don't have time to run out as we only get 30 minutes for lunch and school lunch is expensive.
  • It use to be 50/50. But now that I'm using my lunch hour to go to the gym, I'm bringing it way more.

  • I go through phases where I back lunch almost all the time (probably 4-5 days a week) and then where I eat out all the time.  Right now, I'm in a packing lunch phase, and I find it's definitely healthier and cheaper.  But I also know that once I get super busy again, I will probably go back to grabbing something in the caf or at one of the local chain sandwich places.

  • I bring lunch to work almost every day. Mostly sandwiches, but when I make too much food I bring leftovers from dinner the night before. Usually once a week I will treat myself to a meal out. It's my little splurge for being good the rest of the week.

  • I try to bring my lunch every day, but I usually end up going out to lunch about once a week.
  • I bring lunch every day.  Technically I have 23 minutes for lunch, but by the time someone gets there to cover the kids in my room, I end up with 15 minutes.  And you couldn't pay me enough to eat the crap that the horrible lunch program feeds to our kids.
