Heaven Help Me!

H and I are taking our nephew to the Monster Truck Jam at Ray Jay on Saturday night.  I have never been and every year H bugs me to go.  So this year I compromised by saying we could take our nephew for his birthday.

I have no idea what to expect other than the fact that it is loud.  So I guess I will finally get to experience my first monster truck show.  Yee-haw!

Re: Heaven Help Me!

  • This made me giggle.  Be sure to have your camera ready for mullet sightings and watch out for spit flying your way.  ;)

Also, I now have the George Michael song stuck in my head.

  • I've heard it's pretty cool! :) H always says he wants to go but we never end up going. I remember hearing about it when I first moved down here from NJ. I was like....they do WHAT in the stadium? lol!

  • Whenever I hear about Monster Jam, I always think it sounds like a fun thing to go to, even though I know it's probably not my "style", or what have you :) Just like how I've never been to the Plant City Strawberry Festival or even the local State Fair but MH always says he never wants us to go because it's....not our style :p Too "country" or whatever. I still think those kinds of activities are kind of fun just because they're so different. I think it would be fun to take my imaginary little boy to a show like Monster Jam.

  • We normally take my nephew every year and it is loud. My MIL works for Tampa Sports Authority and gives us free tickets. The kids like it but it loud and dirty. She used to give us front row seats until I almost got hit with mud!!! I told her we wanted to be really high up after that. :) We are not going this year though.

  • I will make sure to report back next week!  Who knows, I might have one of the greatest nights of my life!?!?!  If anything, the people watching should be good.  I think my nephew will have a great time.  And H will definitely have a good time.
