House Hunting in Smyrna/Vinings
Good Morning!
This is my first post on theNest. My new husband and I are looking to purchase our 1st home in the Smyrna/Vinings area. We aren't to familiar with the area and I wanted to see if anyone had any good neighboorhood or area recommendations. We are still undecidied about a townhome or single family home and our budget is up to $250K. I work in Peachtree City and my husband works in Duluth so the area is kind of in the middle and will work out to same commute times with traffic for him and distance for me.
I appreciate all your help.
Re: House Hunting in Smyrna/Vinings
As for houses, there is a TON available right now in the $200,000-250,000 price range in Smyrna. You won't find a single family home in Vinings for under $350,000; there are some older townhomes off of West Paces Ferry Rd. in the $250,000 range.
You can see a neighborhood by neighborhood breakdown at:
http://www.smyrnavinings.com/
Then click on Neighborhoods on the top navigation bar.
My favorite neighborhoods:
Smyrna Heights, Bennett Woods, Ashley Ct., Deerfield, anything off of N. Cooper Lake Road, Cooper Lake Road, or King Springs Road. There are some cute neighborhoods by the Smyrna square off of Church Rd.

Thanks. We have actually been using that site and the guy that runs it is our Realtor. What about Mableton? Do you know anything about that area? We have been looking all over, but mostly in newer townhome developments and neighboorhoods. I don't we have been in any of the ones you referenced. We will have to check them out this weekend.
