So I've noticed that there are quite a few atl nesties who never come to the GTGs (or at least not any that I've been to). Is it b/c the timing is off for you, you don't live here, or do you feel weird about meeting "internet peeps" in real life? i'm not judging, i'm just genuinely curious. Smile

I have only had the opportunity to come to one. When most of us were still on the knot. It is always timing. Before I used to live about an hour away from the North Atlanta GTG so the after work ones were out of the question. Then the past Christmas one I was all set to go until I had to work. I would love to meet all the new nesties. It would be nice meet more people. It's harder to make friends as an adult.

Its mostly timing for me. I always end up having something planned already, having school work to do or a combination of both. I'm free this weekend but I have 2 papers due next week and a brunch GTG on Saturday w/another group. I would feel bad using time I should be working to hang out since I already have something fun planned another time. And the one time I tried to plan an ATL Perimeter lunch GTG, I ended up missing it because my dumb azz didn't notice I had a work commitment on that day Sad

. I hope to make it to one soon....

I went to one this summer, but mainly it's because I live 1.5 hours from Atlanta and it would be a half-day commitment to come to one

It's mostly timing for me. I was planning on coming to the one at Christmas and had family come in town unexpectedly. And I really wanted to come to the one tomorrow but we already had plans. I would like to meet y'all!

For me it?s a little bit of all the reasons you mentioned. I am totally nervous about meeting in RL and for instance the next GTG... It?s a really inconvenient location and time for me. I really want to go but I don't know what time I?ll be done with work and if it's worth fighting traffic to get there just as everyone is finishing up and about to leave...

I suck... I'm new and was looking SO forward to tomorrow night... but my sister is coming for the weekend (SURPRISE TRIP!!!) so unfortunately this one won't work for me, but I am looking so forward to meeting all you sweet chicas! Next time, I'm in!

For me, it's lack of time. Between working 2 jobs and volunteering a lot, I have very limited free time. The free time I do have goes to DH, family, and IRL friends.
